Bare Escentuals BareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation - # Medium Tan - 8g/0.28oz

I've been a loyal bareMinerals user for nearly 10 years. I typically purchase from Ulta or the bareMinerals store. This time I ordered off Amazon for convenience and I'm beyond disappointed. The product appears to be authentic, but it's way smaller and contains much less product than advertised (see pictures attached. It's the container I'm pointing to). The product description reads 8g / 0.28 oz. The product I received is 0.3g / 0.1oz (also pictured). Being a loyal bareMinerals user I knew the net weight was under the sticker on the cotton. False advertising. Sneaky. Not cool.

I've done some research and have found that BareMinerals was sold to Shiseido (great company), however, it seems as if the product has changed. This item is listed as "Original" rather than matte, but it certainly feels and looks matte and is not as blendable than the product I normally buy from Ulta. The sticker on the bottom came off and listed Shiseido as the company, and there was no print or anything on the bottom of the container. I've returned the item, and while it didn't look terrible when applied, I prefer this coming from Ulta as their product looks and feels different. I do think this item will work for some people, and the price point is pretty good here.

I just opened this package and noticed that conveniently the expiration date has been painted over. I wonder how long ago this expired! I've circled it in red in the image. The arrow points to where i tried to pull the label off to check the size given the feedback from other reviewers.

The product I received was not the 8g size as advertised. My 2g one was 4x bigger. When it should have been 4x smaller. Very disappointed that the product description would be so untrue. The product I received is on the left in the picture. On the right is the 2g I bought from saphora a few weeks back. How my 2g could be bigger then the 8g you shipped is very confusing.

I ordered the medium tan. I've been using the same color and brand for years. The product came and said "medium 10" on the bottom. It's way too light for my complexion. DO NOT order this product!!!! It won't be the right shade!

My daily ritual includes Bareminerals powder foundation. I just wash my face, apply moisturizer & use a big soft brush to even my skin color. If I forget to wash it off at night, it doesn't harm my skin at all. Love it!

I love this foundation. However, I ordered an "original medium tan" and received a "matte fairly light." It clearly says on the bottom "matte fairly light" so I'm not sure what happened. Even the tag stuck on the top says the same. It has been such a hassle to get it returned. I am now going to have to order ANOTHER one, hoping this time I receive what I order. If this happens again, I will no longer buy BareMinerals products.

I use my points from credit cards to buy my make up and its great, love this product and it a bonusto get it with points. Great price without points and don't have to go to the store.
