I have always liked the “portfolio” type iPad cases, where you can open it like a magazine.This is a solid choice and the best case I have gotten, personally.I have had an ESR case and a Pro Case (in 2021- but they all chipped and shattered, even though my iPad sits on my couch). It was likely the quality of plastic during the supply chain issues, since it was so brittle, but I imagine newer cases are better.This case is what I wanted. It’s not too thin, it adds protection, it adds a really strong magnetic kickstand for different viewing angles and has some cut outs in the back (hidden behind the kick stand) for passive venting of the iPad as it charges… that’s important to not let thermal heat ruin your battery, so this should help.Granted this case is much thicker than slim cases like ESR, it’s what I wanted… I wanted something thicker and better quality so I never need to buy another case again or have another case (from another brand) crack on me again.The fitment is awesome, the microfiber interior cover has been changed to microfiber on the back and a soft dimpled fabric on the front cover interior (to stop picking up debris when you use the stand since you have to fold the cover as a base, so it touches surfaces).Anecdotally, when I had microfiber cases that had microfiber in the front, it picked up all sorts of debris and left faint marks on my cover (that I could wash off), just from the dirty cover on top of the iPad (from letting it touch surfaces when I was choosing a display angle)… so that’s another plus. The fact they don’t use microfiber for the interior cover is a good thing. The fabric in its place will protect just as well as microfiber and stop picking up debris.It has little icons for power and volume imprinted in the case, has a matte finish, and just feels solid. It feels expensive.The magnets are surprising strong.It does add bulk (like an Otterbox case), but this design is just so smooth. It’s better looking than other brands, and from what I understand, this is from a family owned US business, so you do not need to worry about cheap clones.The packaging looks cool too. It’s an unboxing experience sort of like Apple, where everything is clean and precise. It would make a good gift to.Plus the little stretch band for the Apple Pencil is appreciated. It doesn’t attach on the side like some other ZUGU cases, but that would only widen the size of the case so I’m glad I did not get the one that can charge an Apple Pencil while in the case by attaching it to the side.Overall, this is a legit case. It’s quality. It fits well. It looks cool. The magnets are strong. It’s from a real company, and is not a clone of another item.If you like Portfolio style iPad cases, need a kickstand, and want protection, this is the case to get.I spent 2-3 hours searching for cases and landed on this, so use the time I spent finding the best case, to help make your purchasing decision. This is a legit case, and I am very very picky.It is a solid product. If you like this design get it. My iPad feels and looks protected… and honestly, the blacked out case looks amazing.I am not finding any faults yet at all.

I was looking for a sturdy case to protect my iPad while traveling that also covered the screen, and the flap design of this case seemed to fit the bill. The other features were ones that I didn't think I'd end up using, but I was wrong...Everything about this case screams quality, starting with the way it was boxed (Apple vibe) and ending with the build quality. There's a rim around the iPad that protect the screen from getting scratched if you put it face down while the flap is open. When you close the flap it fits with that rim, as opposed to sitting on top of it. Combined with the flap magnetically latching onto the screen, it provides a very sturdy enclosure that you can drop into a (laptop) bag without worry.It has a sleeve for the Apple pencil on the back, so you don't have an (empty) pen slot taking up space to the side of your iPad. While I worried a bit about the extra bulge it would create when the pencil was inserted, this didn't end up being a problem.The feature I didn't expect to use was the magnetically locking stand, but it ended up being a pleasant surprise. In the past I've used iPad stands during video conferences, but since switching to this case I've exclusively used its built-in feature prop the iPad up in landscape mode. There are 8 slots that can hold the stand, providing a sufficient range of viewing angles. Because the back of the case is magnetic, the stand reliably locks in place. I've never had it collapse on me. I've used it to watch videos with the case resting on armrests, desks, and airplane tray-tables.I've been exclusively using this case for the past 6 months, and it really feels like a "last one you'll need" type of product. Definitely not the cheapest, but worth every penny.

I got this recommendation from my niece who has had the same case for about four yearsIt’s amazing sturdy strong. I love the way the easel works. Not that I’m going to use it, but is magnetized so you can put it on your refrigerator if you choose to do that. This will be lasting me for a long, long time. Worth the money.!!

The design is sleek and durable. It has a pleasant weight to it while not being cumbersome. The IPad slid in easily without having to apply much pressure and the magnets are incredibly strong in the case. 10/10.

This vastly exceeded my expectations. It’s got a fit & finish as exceptional as Apple’s, with some cool features that even Apple cases don’t include.PROS:- Excellent quality & durability. The front cover is thick & super rigid, and closes with a very satisfying “fwooop”- Fits the iPad perfectly. If you’re a detail freak like me, you’ll appreciate how nicely this fits- All buttons and ports remain usable- Magnets! You can attach this thing to your fridge, if that’s your jam- Having many adjustable angles is super useful and covers practically all of my needs- Has a pencil pocket- It looks and feels “premium”CONS:- It’s kinda bulky. I don’t mind this because I know it’s protecting my iPad well. But it’s not a slim case, if that’s what you’re looking for- When there’s a pencil in the pocket, it gets in the way of folding the cover all the way back behind it. I only find this to be a problem if I’m using it in portrait orientation and want the cover out of the way. The solution is simple— just take the pencil outAll in all, this is a great case that I feel is totally worth the price.
