My LG HU70LA projector don't allow HDR to be turned off and yet lack the brightness to display HDR properly. This device on the "C" setting, when inserted inline with the source device (eg. Amazon firestick, which also don't have HDR disable) will make the source think the projector is not HDR capable and display content in SDR, which is more appropriate for the projector. The firestick don't have enough power to power this device, so a receiver or powered switch box need to be between the device and firestick.
