50' 50-Amp Rv Extension Cord (94561E)

This is the best-priced 50amp I could find!
This is a 50-foot insulated cable for 50 amps of power. Therefore, it's going to be heavylier than your OEM 30-foot cable. I can't believe people only gave 4 stars because "it's heavy." Get in the gym, lift some weights, and buy this cable that's heavily insulated for your protection, and it works perfectly!

High quality, good for Tesla
Great high quality cable. It's heavy and thick as others have noted, but that's true of these cables. The handle on the male plug is a lifesaver for disconnecting, these big plugs tend to be a little hard to disconnect from each other. Shrugs off rain and snow with no problem. I use it for my Tesla Model X and it hands me 40A 240V every time.

Works fine with two A/C units running.
Works on my motorhome in conjunction with the existing 25 ft cord. I was concerned about voltage drop with the total wire length but we ran two rooftop A/C units at times and there were no issues.

Not dependable
Purchased this cord in March and installed to replace a broken plug on a camper we just purchased. Our first camping trip was in June (well past return window) we found when our A/C is on that the power would sometimes cut off. But when we wiggle the cord close to plug, it comes back on. It will work ok as long as nothing moves the cord. Found the same problem at home and at our second camping trip. Also with or without surge protector too. Now we will have to spend the money and time to replace the hard to get to cord again. Very frustrating.

Simple item, works as it should
A 1-star demerit for the ultra-tight fit of the female connector. Normally I'd consider a really snug fit to be a good thing but the one I received was so tight that it was difficult to *fully insert* the plug of my RV cord. Not fulling inserting the plug is a *bad thing*. When it came time to disconnect, though, it didn't seem to require extra effort so perhaps it was a one time issue. If something changes I'll edit or reply to this review. The cord seems sturdy and the molded connectors have a substantial feel and heft to them. I expected the cord to retain much of its tight diameter wrapping but pleased to say that it relaxed over the 6 days I had it out and there wasn't much "memory" in it when it came time to roll it up (I like a larger diameter cable wrap). It performs its task as you'd expect: it adds 30 feet to your RV cable; the wire gauge appears to be as labeled (some imports have lots of vinyl and not enough copper, caveat emptor) as I experienced no undue voltage drop under load. This gets a thumbs-up from me. :-)

It's An Extension Cord!!!!!
I do not have any complaints about this product whatsoever. I am just giving a heads up to other humans like myself that make mistakes....This is an Extension Cord...it does not have the correct piece to fit into the back of my 50-amp RV. I purchased the cord before I went on vacation this year and left it in the box until I made it to my first campsite. That is when I realize the mistake I made.... waited until I came back home, to worry about it...(3 weeks later) that when I realized I missed the return deadline. Oh well, I'll find an adapter or something. Right now I just connect to the original cord that came with the camper( The one I was trying to replace because it was to short) and it works for now.Just sharing to help someone else not make the same mistake I did. It's a great cord, I have Zero complaints...Just now what I wanted

Great Quality Extension Cord
I love this cord. I use it to power my welding cart. It powers both the 250v/50amp welder and a 120v/20amp power strip with 5-20R outlets attached to the side of the cart (my welding cart has a small breaker box built-in).The cord is beefier than I expected. Not sure why I was so surprised... I know what 6 AWG wire looks like. But I still hadn't expected this to be so heavy and bulky. Glad I stayed with the 36' length rather than 50'. As it is, this adds a good 40 pounds of weight to my welding cart. The 36' length is enough to reach anywhere within or around my garage, even up to 30 feet down the driveway. Plus I can always connect to a standard appliance outlet in any home, or use a converter to switch to a 3-prong plug (although this disables my power strip). The ends are especially nice, with a molded handle for pulling the plug out. Sadly, I chose to cut one of the ends off to wire it directly into my cart's breaker box.

Solid, but Heavy
I bought this cord to use with my Tesla Model S when travelling and I'm not able to park near a 50 amp outlet (the car's cord is about 16' long). It is very solid and seems to be well made. I've tried it and it works well. Oddly, it is about twice as thick (and correspondingly that much heavier) that the Tesla's own cord, which is also rated at 50 amps. Because of it's thickness and weight, it is a bit tricky to coil back up after use. Overall I'm pleased and believe it will be a lifesaver when I need to reach an outlet to re-charge.
