Dean and Tyler Wire Basket Muzzle, Size No. 8 - Golden Retriever

This dog muzzle is perfect for my Labrador Retriever. The muzzle is a size 8 and it’s worth the money! She is a master at removing muzzles, however, my Houdini has met her match with this muzzle! My dog is unable to remove the muzzle! The attached top strap and throat straps are a must for my dog, they are adjustable and that was highly desirable. My dog unsuccessfully tried numerous times to remove the mask at times using her paws but before long, she gave up and just played in the yard. The muzzle allows her to pant, bark, drink water, but she is NOW UNABLE to eat harmful objects and can’t catch and harm wildlife. The padded top of the nose area is a win win, the other muzzles I bought before this one ripped up my dog’s top of her nose as she would slam her face into anything on purpose to try to get it off her face. My dog is intentionally rough on this muzzle but due to the padding and the sturdy construction of this muzzle, her nose is not getting ripped up and the muzzle isn’t falling apart. My dog now focuses on just being a dog, and has stopped trying to get the mask off when she is wearing it outside. I always supervise my dog while she’s wearing it but I am not stressed out anymore worrying that she might get the my muzzle off and eat harmful objects. No more expensive veterinary bills from her eating parasite infected goose poop. This muzzle is worth the money for preventative care, and is a HECK OF ALOT CHEAPER THAN A CURE FROM A VETERINARIAN if you don’t protect your dog when they could benefit from using one when they cannot protect themselves from unhealthy habits. High quality dog muzzle and I recommend this product for a Labrador Retriever.

This is not as advertised. I think it seems to be a great product but my dog is a Medium sized pit bull and this came to me extremely large!!! It appears to be made for an adult St Bernard, but maybe I dont know how to put it on. Too big! It appears the measurements are accurate, however the measurements are larger than a small pit or amstaf.

The only complaint is it is much larger than I expected. I have two catahoulas and their snouts are not as big or as long as the muzzle shipped. They are similar in size to a retriever so I assumed this was a good size to get. I will need to punch extra holes in the leather so that it fits properly. I ordered two seperately, both were the size 8-retriever and one was smaller than the other, but neither were the size I thought I was getting. That being said, I can add an extra hole to make the straps fit. It is a high quality muzzle and allows the dogs to breathe easily where the thick leather one I have does not. I wont have to worry about them overheating and they can drink water with this one.

Very high quality harness leather. The black dye tends to slightly stain his nose.

It's a really great product and seems very well made, but this particular size is for a grizzly bear. I have a very large malamute/german shepherd and the cage part went pass his eyes.

Now my 90 lbs dogs don't eat poop, they haven't been able to get them off(i bought 2 ) and they look cool as hell in a Mad Max sorta way

Was a good fit for my akita...during walks the wiring is perfect for him breathing and panting. It's adjustable so can have a snug fit around his head. He doesn't seem to mind having it on.

Good solid construction, haven't had to use it though.
