HEA-VY!
I didn't assemble or mount it - left that to my handyman. But we both had to lift it onto its track bracket because it's just too big and heavy for one person to do without some help. I like the look quite a lot, and it does what I needed it to do. Cord management isn't well thought out at all though. The feed-through slots at the back of the unit aren't accessible once you mount it to the wall, and the only punch-out is on the left side of it - not in the middle where you're more likely to want the peripheral devices to sit, right under the (presumably centered) TV, and where the sliding door looks most attractive, to conceal all that stuff, although remote control operability might then be an issue of course. But bottom line, if I add any more equipment to my LR entertainment menu, I'd have to have help taking the entire unit off the wall, try to configure cordage properly while it's on the floor, then manage cordage coiling and stowage while lifting the unit back onto the wall if I want it to look decent. As you can see from the photos here, even then it might not work very well, so I'm hiding some ugly with other furniture, and not very successfully. Further, the "sliding" door doesn't really slide either, and even though the track for it covers all three sections, it doesn't slide well enough that I even want to move it. Very cheaply designed "slide", and more like a "skittering, keeps-getting-hung-up" door which I will probably never use as any kind of functional door on the piece. It's ok, and as I said I like the look. I don't think I'd buy it again though.

I love it
The media could not be loaded. I really like the esthetic of this item! (Excuse my wires lol). But it is a really nice piece of furniture! It is an excellent addition to my room! It looks so good, and has a great deal of storage. The assembly is quite tedious. The instructions aren't the most clear if you're not keen on reading blueprints or building things it could be a very big headache! I'm a carpenter and If I recall correctly it took me an hr plus. I'd recommend hiring someone to build it for you if you struggle with building. That being said, I'm sure that anyone could build it with some wherewithal and a bit of patience! Once assembled it does seem pretty sturdy. But the load limits are quite low. 100lbs for the top shelf and 50lbs for the bottom and that's likely where you'll have the most stuff so keep that in mind.

Looks good and functions well
I really liked the look and idea of this to mount over our baseboard heaters. It was easy to assemble and relatively straight forward to mount. The instructions have a very useful guide on mounting. You will need to first mount a bracket to the wall, then the console will just slide on top - I believe this is called a French cleet system. One thing to look out for is to make sure not to overtigthen the screw that holds the bracket onto the wall. The bracket is 5" long and and will flex to form to your wall which will not be absolutely straight. Give the bracket a tiny bit of flexibility and it will be way easier to get the cleets to seat properly. The only real issue I has was that some parts did arrive damaged which is why I took a star (really only half a star). It worked out fine though, as I contacted south shore and they sent me every part I needed no questions asked. Interestingly enough though, the new parts they sent me were MDF rather than the lower quality particle board I received with my initial order. I think that it's just cheaper for them to make MDF parts as replacements rather than make every part out of it to begin with, or replacements are just made by a different factory. Regardless, they will absolutely get you every part you need if there is any damage.

Perfect addition to the room!
I’ve wanted this for years and was so excited to finally get it! A piece came broken but calling the company and getting a replacement was super easy. The replacement piece came within the week. We love the style of it and feel like it completes the room.

Good looking and sturdy. Jury is out on mounting to the wall.
Hey, look at me.....I didn't want the hassle of mounting it to the wall so I added 4 metal furniture legs (also Amazon). Legs are 6" tall. The piece was easy for one person to assemble. Very heavy box though. You might cut open the box and take each piece out if you are alone. The very back piece that faces wall is particle board and it broke in half during shipment but it was still usable (and I'm gifted ; - ) Each end can store 25 dvds if needed. Decent quality, but I worry about pieces cracking during shipment. Approx 90 min assembly. I was not in a hurry. You need a hammer and a phillips and a flat head screwdriver. All else is included. I can't speak to the mounting part since I added legs instead. In fact, I worry about mounting to the wall at all because the back piece is particle board and even if you attached to the studs I'm worried about the piece itself holding up. TV in photo is a 55"

Amazing product!
This is an absolutely amazing entertainment stand! The original price was $220, but saw there was a 'used' one for $150. It thought 'what the hell, might as well buy it used.' And boy am I glad I did, I don't know how they considered this a 'used' product. The box was a little damaged, but the stand itself was completely sealed, from the factory. I guess from now on I'll be buying 'used' furniture from Amazon. The stand itself is SOLID, it weighs almost 150lbs. I put it together and mounted it by myself. It was time consuming putting it together and mounting it. I'd definitely recommend 2 maybe 3 people, especially when it comes to mounting.Hiding the wires is extremely easy, there's 3 large holes in the top, bottom and back to put all your wires though. (yes, I still need to buy some trays to finish hiding mine)I am super happy with my purchase! My OCD is killing me with this one though, I just wish it came with a second door (even though I was told that you can order a second door from the manufacturer, which I'm going to try and do)

Darn impressed
I really wanted a low TV stand in order to enjoy my TV while sitting on the floor (we don't have a couch or chairs -- just meditation cushions.) This comes in at 30cm and is perfect with our 48" TV. It says it can't support a TV, but we just stuck some felt pads on the bottom and it feels extremely sturdy. I'm super happy at the price ($200) and how cute it is. Very pleased with this furniture.

Almost perfect, if not for a crack down the middle
I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this item. It was heavier than I expected, considering it’s made of mdf. It was on sale for $199.98 so I snapped it up. Super happy with the price. The reason I took a star off is because when I opened it up, there was a crack running almost 2/3 of the way down the middle on the back panel, that attaches to the wall. I assembled it regardless, because I wanted it installed and didn’t want to have to contact and wait for a replacement part. It seems like it’s holding up ok now that it’s on the wall. My husband may want one for the basement!

Nice
This is a sturdy piece but it is not real wood. It was okay to put together. I think instructions could have been clearer. Overall I like it but it’s not really the color I expected. It looks darker in the photo than it really is. I love the metal on each side tho, really adds to it. Would I buy it if I saw it in person, probably not.
