Not much to say on this - packaging is solid, they are exactly the size specified, and work great. Solid replacement.

I read many reviews of this filter prior to purchasing. There is a lot of misleading information in those reviews. Hopefully I can clarify a few things.Firstly, the filter is sized exactly as indicated on the filter frame. Nominal size is 16x25x5 but the actual size is 15 3/4 x 24 3/4 x 4 3/8 as indicated on the frame. This is exactly the size of the Lennox X6770 it replaces (and others of that size). Those who said it is too long/wide or otherwise mis-sized were clearly using a different filter and they bought the wrong one. By the way, some manufacturers use a nominal size of 16x25x4 with similar actual dimensions, so ignore the nominal size and look at the actual dimensions. The industry uses nominal sizing as a guide much like 2x4 wood boards are NOT actually 2"x4".Regarding the "missing" foam strips along the outer frame edges; those are not a feature for this filter. The filters these intend to replace do not have foam strips and the Lennox filter cabinets (and similar units) do use us filters with foam strips. Those cabinets have doors with foam sealing the perimeter and a fiber panel that ensures a tight fit for the filter once installed and prevents blow-by.I can't speak to performance at this time as I just installed them in our two furnaces, but the construction is solid and air flow is good so far. You must install them in the correct direction indicated by a flow marking on the frame edge, but that's true for all furnace filters. There are more pleats in this filter compared with the Lennox X6770 (MERV 11) filter. This filter is rated at MERV 12, so that may be part of the reason, if not all of it. The pleats are identical in design otherwise.At $20/filter vs $28/filter (at very best) for the Lennox brand, these represent a good value.

I read other reviews where there was a concern about size. Which I didn't understand because I've used these filters over the past 4 years.I have a Honeywell heating system and this fit perfectly! Just measure the filter you have now and look at the dimensions stated on that old filter. If the numbers are the same you should have no problems.It's made from the same materials and is constructed the same as any of the OEM models but costs far less. With the money I save it makes it practical for me to switch out filters twice a year (every Fall and Spring). Living in Alaska near a Glacier which produces glacial silt in the air around me on some days when the weather is turning makes filtration of air through my system important.Does it work?I honestly think they do judging from looking at the previous filters that have been in place for 6 months. A visual inspection revels the white filter membrane of the filter turns a grey color after 6 months - so that's my standard and proves to me THEY WORK!And I am so much happier seeing the filter turn grey than have my heating system (and lings) collect all those pollutants.SUMMARY: Like any expensive machinery you should take care of your heating system and filters are a low cost way of doing just that. 5STARS for effective performance and low cost of an essential product.AkTreker

It's a good air flow, air filter. super easy to install, it's as thick as it is supposed to be, no problem with noise, it has more stablility and firmness than the ones I found in the store.It doesn't last very long for how expensive it is but I'm getting a K&N filter to try out after this one is done which should last a good long while.

Works very well, and less expensive than the furnace dealership brand.

This is the third time I have ordered these filters. Each time they have been exactly as described, well packed and arriving in pristine condition. I am changing our filters every six months as we don't have pets and I have also fitted cheap filters to prevent lint ingress on each of our return grills.It's likely more frequent changes would be needed in homes with a lot of traffic and pets.We have two zoned HVAC units and after a concrete dust ingress disaster a couple of years ago due to faulty new HVAC installation (long story), I fitted a 16x25x5-inch filter enclosure in the central return duct of both HVAC units. After we moved back into the house having had to replace all of the HVAC duct work, I have regularly measured particle concentration in all areas of the house using a laser particle detector and our air quality using these filters is exceptionally good. Rural Missouri is notorious for allergens but it is noticeable that family members with severe allergies are much more comfortable in our home than their own homes. Of course we have tried to persuade them to spend a few $100s to install better filters in their homes but it is perplexing that they don't want to invest in air purity despite the evidence and the expense of their allergy meds. But very happy that at least the air in our home is excellent thanks to these filters (and a properly sealed HVAC duct system).

New furnace & air unit. Local companies did not have the correct thickness. These filters fit perfect. Have already spares to have on hand.

Very good fit in are electrical air filter. Been using it for 2 months now the is much cleaner smiling. Great product not only filters the air borne particles but also refreshes the air as well.

These filters end up catching more than the other "Big Brand" that I've used in the past. They're less expensive, do a better job, and bonus on these is the charcoal, it really does help cut down on odors in your house (2 kids and a dog). We run our furnace fan as a way to circulate air through the house, so we go through filters faster than most, but I'll say using these, I've never had any worry about the ducts getting dirty, I check them annually with an inspection cam, and it always surprises me how clean they stay.

Took a long time to deliver but great product, otherwise.

Great filters for the price and they were here in 2 days I would definitely buy again!!

Did not remove odors.
