I have heard of several close friends or family members recently getting into accidents and i have seen others get into accidents where the blame was put onto the wrong person because of a lack of proof. I have been wanting one to protect myself, my property and my loved ones from theft and unnecessary insurance increases.I looked up several different dash cams and read hundreds of reviews. I was impressed with the APEMAN Dashcam before I got it. The install was very easy, i had previously purchased the hardwire kit, Micro SD and a mount specific to my vehicle. I installed the dash cam (front and rear) in about 30 minutes total, running the wires behind the headliner and to the rear of the passenger cabin. After reviewing the video, all I can say is wow!! The quality is clear on this! You can read the roadsigns, license plates, etc. I will be purchasing for the rest of my vehicles for sure. Maybe even get a second one for the current vehicle and use both front cams as front and rear and the back cams as side views to be protected 360°.

Due to a recent accident, We have found the real need of having a good, quality dashcam in the vehicle. One from the front, AND one from the rear. It was very important to our situation, and don’t find out that it would have been important to yours too. Anyways, this one fits the bill!It was an easy setup. There is picture I instructions (general) in the manual, but theres lots of YouTube videos on the subject. We installed the dashcam on the front windshield, on the passenger’s side, behind the rearview mirror. The passenger can see it clearly in motion, but its mostly blocked from the drivers view, although we can still look over to make sure it is on. There are two cords coming from it. One goes to the electrical plug. We ran that on the driver’s side. We pushed it under the headliner, down the trim next to the windshield and door, and on the bottom of the dashboard, where the fuse blocks are. The cords are completely hidden! It looks professional! Well, the second cord goes to the rear camera. We ran that on the headliner, from door to door and to the camera middle top of the rear windshield. Also, completely hidden from view! Both cords were adequately long without being excessive. We just tucked the extra under where we could.Ths camera comes on automatically as cut on the car, and stops a little after we cut off the car. It just records over and over again in small segments. If something it decides is signifigant happens, the file goes under another folder and is not written over. The screen is nice when used as a quick reference for viewing. The video itself has good resolution though. We are very happy with it! Hopefully, we will never need it , but at least we will have it just in case.

Over the past several years I have owned 3 different brands of dashcams. The only ones that are still alive are Apeman. All the rest died an early death. After I bought my first Apeman (C450) I was so impressed that I bought 2 more for my 3 vehicles. They all worked as advertised and had very good pictures.Now I have also purchased this C550. The picture quality is similar to the C450. I pointed both front and rear lenses of the C550 to the front so I could compare them. I could tell that the main camera had a better picture than the remote one. I guess that this is because the resolution is greater in the main camera. The record time with both cameras running on a 32GB card is 2.5 hours and 3.7 hours with only the main camera. As I recall, the front camera is 1080P and the rear is 720P. I will also add that this is the first camera that has a battery that lasts more than a few seconds. It lasted over 15 minutes. I could unhook it from the power plug and actually work with the unit and set it up and format the card.The cables are plenty long and make it easy to install in even the biggest vehicles. Installation time was under 1/2 hour and looks professional with all the wires hidden.Overall I'm totally satisfied with my purchase and recommend this camera. I feel that I got a bargain

For the price of this camera, the quality is great and will provide clear video in case of an incident. I really like this dashcam compared to the older model because of the rear camera. It is now on an adjustable mount so you can get the right angle, and the resolution is higher. Additionally, the front camera has a larger and clearer screen which makes it easier to navigate the menus. Once again Apeman has created a great product!

This is an outstanding dash cam!The picture quality captured by this device is full HD front and rear.Registration plates and road signs are readable from a great distance.The angle of the camera is huge! You can see exactly what you’d be able to see with your own eyes!It has many settings to customise this camera to your own liking, one of which I like is the silent activation upon startup. This means when I take my car to a garage for an MOT or service or if I let the wife take my car for a drive they don’t even know it’s on. (You yourself can tell it’s powered on by the indication of a small red LED on the top left of the camera).In the box there is a included 32GB SD card, which means you don’t have to fiddle around ordering one separate, and having to potentially wait extra time to get this installed in your vehicle.I can not recommend this camera enough, it ticks all the boxes for what a great dash cam should be.10/10 - Great dash cam!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I already have an Apeman DashCam but it only recorded the front view and I was keen to have a rear view recording camera and this C550 model fits the bill perfectly.The front windscreen camera is a smart design and affixes to the glass using a sticky pad (Apeman provide a spare pad if required which is a nice touch). Once fitted, you can plug in the camera to the ‘car charger’ and check/adjust the camera angle on the C550 screen – I didn’t and my first few videos were mainly of the sky and not the road!The C550 comes with decent lengths of cabling allowing both front and rear cameras to be positioned easily and the cables can be hidden behind the car fascia and Apeman provide a tool to help with this.The quality of the front camera 1080P video is excellent and with a wide angle which gives a great record of the view travelled yet detailed to allow number plate recognition. Ideal to video a driving trip so that you can concentrate on the road and then replay at leisure when not behind the wheel. Videos are recorded in 3 minute sessions and when the memory card is full, the loop programme starts again. The rear camera 720P is not of the same quality but will detail the number plate of vehicles behind and record any accident should one occur. I have positioned my rear camera so that it shows my tow bar and can be used as a reversing camera when hitching up the trailer.The videos can easily be checked on your computer using the USB cable which will power up the camera and you can look at the 2 files (1 file for Front & 2 file for Rear). You can then save any videos you require but remember each 3 minute front video is 377MB. Apeman provide a 32GB Micro SD card with the C550 which again is a nice touch and means that once installed, you are ready to record. I have attached a short video recorded on my phone off my computer screen as the file size is smaller but please note that the C550 video is much clearer and of far better quality but I don’t have any video editing software!!The C550 comes with a good User Manual and Menu instructions and once setup, it just starts recording when the ignition is turned on. You can silence the Startup and Beep sound so that you really forget it is there.I really can’t find any faults with this C550 DashCam and it gives you a sense of security to know your journey is being recorded should an accident occur.All in all I’m delighted and all I have to do now is fit the old DashCam into my partner’s car!

Bought this for my wife's car after being impressed with a previous Apeman dashcam and this one is just as impressive.Both cameras are easy to setup and after routing the cabling through the headlining it's just a case of plugging them into the cigarette socket.The 1080P front camera is clear and works very well in low light. The rear camera is lower resolution 720P but still high enough to recognise number plates etc. Great quality!Once both cameras are plugged in they start and stop automatically when the car is turned on/off. Couldn't be simpler really!Highly recommended product and another great camera from Apeman!

This dash camera I would say is a very budget friendly for the fact its a complete kit which also includes a memory card makes is a great value for money. Got this dash camera installed in my wife car which needed an upgrade as we had a old 720p resolution dash camera there.Camera installation is simple and instructions are very clear. Front camera is simple when it comes to installation rear needs few extra minutes due to wiring involved in the process. Overall we took around 30 minutes which can be done much quicker.Once installation was complete we used the same 32GB card which came as part of package. This dash cam is best one we had so far. Auto powers once car is started. Has inbuilt battery which helps in executing features such as parking monitor as it starts recording video as soon hears knock or impact.Other features such as Motion Detection, Loop Recording, G-Sensor works smoothly as well. Quality of the footage is nice both in day and night hours.Probably this is one of the best cameras we had so far. Highly recommended !!

I bought this dash cam on recommendation from my brother and the quality of it blew me away, I have always had the standard dash cam which sticks out and is visable which I have always disliked. This dash cam sits flat and is discreet, you cannot tell I have a dash cam fitted. It also comes with a rear camera which is a bonus. Quality on the camera is really good in the daytime and is decent enough during the night. Camera is easy to use and set up and comes with a memory card which saved me the headache of looking for a new card. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a dash cam
