This is the perfect book for someone moving into their first home. It has everything you need to do/to know in order to make a place homey without breaking the bank. Well-written and to-the-point, filled with great anecdotes from real people, which is a great touch. Also enjoyed the illustrations.

"Right at Home" has as a little bit of everything: home-buying hints, decorating tips, organizing ideas and a home maintenance checklist. As someone who (like many of us) is in the process of carving out a home office, I appreciate the suggestions for how to organize my space effectively and reduce clutter. And I'll be keeping an eye out for those pet-resistant fabrics!

This book may be adequate for first-time home renters and buyers, but is way too elementary for anyone looking for more in-depth and original advice.

It wasn’t what I expected. Seemed overly simplistic.

Informative, straightforward, and peppered with inserts of real-life experiences of buyers/sellers, this book is a great read and helpful for me as a first-time hopeful homeowner.
