Super easy to install. One nut threaded in reverse. The original one lasted 5 years.

Works great. First was sold wrong part from hardware store. Purchased right part from Amazon. Perfect.

Replacement for older models that parts are no longer available. Looks like a better design due to pad on bottom that spins independently of the main unit. Which to seems to not create drag when tapping to feed string.

I messed up and ordered the wrong one head first time. Before you order CHECK YOUR MODEL. The counterpart to this trimmer head has a semi-square opening to connect to the trimmer. This trimmer head has a threaded drive that slides on. You will needto put a 4mm or smaller pin or hex wrench in the side hole. The actual hole must be located by turning the trimmer head until the hex wrench slides into the matching hold. My Ego trimmer came with a double headed socket wrench, otherwise you will need a deep socket to reverse the nut. My trimmer now works like it did when I first got it.

Y’all. This is like the fourth head I’ve had to buy and it takes multiple tries consistently. I even called EGO before ordering and was informed this would fit. It does not fit. You can see from the photos, as well. I’m growing weary of this, and I missed my Amazon return window by a few days, so THAT’S LOVELY TOO. 10/10 would not buy. At this pace I’d rather buy a yearly cheap string trimmer from Walmart for less hassle.

Have ego weed trimmer. Yet the head cracked after a year of hard work. Bought replacement, it has upgraded. Makes it easier to use.

So I had to buy this because the head I had was wearing through. It was the original head that came with my weed eater attachment.Overall it was pretty easy to install. If your head is caked with fine powdery grass like mine it might be hard to find the pin hole, it is on the side at a 90 degree angle from the shaft. Stick a nail in there and it will hold everything fine. I needed a 15mm socket to get r done.Overall I like this one better as you have something to grip on to turn the new string in. The old rounded button top was very hard to spin in new string, this one is much easier though not the cool automatic type.

This was the wrong head for the weed whacker that I have and I was unaware there were different ones. I am still not sure how I like the EGO weed whacker as the string always gets jammed and the price to replace the string alone is pretty steep.

Leggero e pratico con ricarica rapida del filo.Per me, l'unica nota negativa, risulta essere il disco di protezione, svincolato della testa "batti e vai": a volte prende un giro falsato dalla testina e va in risonanza, vibra e fa rumore. Non so, forse è un piccolo difetto di progettazione (anche il pezzo originale lo fa). Non inficia il suo utilizzo.
