Very creative and soothing
My 3-year old son loves this book, and so do I! The pages are very good quality--heavy and sturdy. There's affirmations for both daytime and evening. I like the sensory qualities of several. We pick a few each night before bed. It's not a story book that you sit with. It offers really nice conversation with little ones about feelings and helps them learn to reflect. Sometimes we do them together as a whole family to talk about our days.

Soothing bedtime read
Calming read that fosters parent-child connection through easy but effective mindful activities. Great for winding down and getting sleepy by taking breathes and clearing emotions and thoughts to be present and relaxed.

Beautiful way to wind down from the day!
This beautifully illustrated book has been wonderful for my five year old daughter who has a tough time relaxing & getting ready to go to sleep. (I do still think it is appropriate for kids a bit older than she is as well.)It is a great way for us to spend time together & talk about the highs & lows of her day, things we are grateful for, and what we most look forward to about tomorrow. The book also includes some short poems & sleep stories that are a bit meditative & help with relaxation. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Encourages thoughtfulness
Great bedtime book. We pick the pages we want to read/do each night. Most of the content encourages calm conversation about how the day went and what we are grateful for. It's a wonderful book for inspiring kindness and thoughtfulness in children. My rough & tumble 4yr old son picks this book a few nights a week. I highly recommend it as it provides a safe and comfortable way to talk about and smooth over all the days high and low points.

Favorite part of our bedtime routine
Such a sweet book! We’ve made it a part of our bed time routine and I look forward to it each night. It’s simple enough that my then 2 now 3 year old can follow and interesting enough to keep my 5 going on to 6 year old engaged.

Beautiful introduction to mindfulness
I adore this book. It’s a wonderful introduction to mindfulness and completely child appropriate. It brought mindful techniques in a child friendly way with absolutely beautiful illustrations and simple directions. My 4 year old and I start with the deep breathing page and then I let him pick which other part he wants to read. He tends to like to talk about the high and low of his day and he likes to trace the zen trail with his finger. It’s an awesome book.

Works like magic -- and better than melatonin.
Trouble getting your kids to bed on time? THIS IS THE BOOK YOU AND YOUR KIDS NEED.Five years into parenting, I'll say the one thing no "sleep trainers" or sleep books ever do is help a child learn how to understand their mind, their bodies and how to prepare themselves for sleep.I wish I'd had this book so we could have started this when they were as little as 15 months old.People (including pediatricians) kept telling us to let our twins "cry it out" or the new term for cry-it-out which is "extinction method" (no way I was doing that). After story time, we now use this bed time book. Each twin chooses the pages that they like best. The swirly maze in the middle is like a hypnotic tool to unwind their brains. They now go to sleep with in minutes of us reading and following the instructions on the pages. They love the "make a wish" page. They love the "Blow your troubles away in a lantern" pageThey love the "swirly maze"They love the "send love" pageIt's a brilliant design.Beautiful illustrations.I hope it keeps working for the rest of their lives.Thank you, thank you, thank you.Signed, happy Mamma.

Wonderful book!
While it says bedtime in the title, this is a good wind down book as well. It sparks wonderful conversations and my five year old loved it. Bedtime stories are fun but reading this together and talking about different things was much more meaningful and special. I highly recommend it!
