I started using this on the advice of my pulmonologist, as my allergies were contributing to my asthma. It helps a great deal - my allergies are vicious, at times debilitating, and I have high blood pressure, so I have to be careful of what antihistamine I take. The addition of Nasacort after a morning nasal rinse, plus Zyrtec in the AM, keeps my allergies to an occasional drip. I took a star off for the cost and the fact that I still have nasal drip.

I have suffered with horrible nasal allergies since childhood and I have tried numerous treatments including many different antihistamines, decongestants and numerous steroidal nasal sprays including Flonase, Rhinocort and Nasonex.And Nasacort has improved my allergies so much that my allergic asthma is so much better and more controlled.And this nasal spray really does last 24 hours like the company claims. Because when the 24 hours expires, I tend to start power sneezing again and when my symptoms return; I spray it in my nose again and feel better right away.The dose is 4 sprays, 2 sprays in each nostril once per day. And for children the dose is 2 sprays; one in each nostril. If your allergies are more mild you can use the children's dose or you can start on that dose to see if it works for your allergies.When spraying any steroidal nasal sprays make sure to spray away from the middle of the nose in order to prevent causing a deviated septum. So point the sprayer towards the outer inside of the nose.The sprayer itself is wonderful in that it delivers a fine mist and it never clogs unlike many other brands that I've tried.
