A good piece of kit works a treat
A good piece of kit and works a treat when there are plugs missing from almost all sinks - check the diameter as it was not as wide as I had anticipated/ expected (but works in most UK basins)

Cheap and works in a curved bottomed basin
I was looking a round for ages to find a travel plug for a sink, A lot of them are far too big around 5-6" and these wouldn't fit in a curved basin well enough to seal it, this one is much smaller and just covers the chrome area around the plug hole, it seals well although not 100% the basin stays full to allow washing of clothes or face. It is also very reasonably priced at £3 when some of the others can be upward of £9.

Idea great, just doesn't work in reality
I wanted to be able to wash clothes on the go whilst travelling, having been frequently frustrated by a lack of working sink plug. I also thought I could use this in the shower tray. It does stop the water from draining (mostly), but if you knock it even slightly whilst washing, the seal breaks. So I've given up. If you want a better solution, I now use a sea to summit dry ultra sil bag, which works really well, and is multi purpose.
