Doesn't fit Apimaye hives... but you can modify.
The Apimaye hive is wider than this stand by 1/2". The inset screw holes don't line up with the base (the screws go just under the cut-outs in the hive base).But... I used washers to make the stand wider, 1/4" opening, same diameter as the cross bars... Then I used 2 1/2" deck screws about 2 inches outside of the factory holes (where the Apimaye legs are). Pre-drill and make sure you don't block the holes for the frame stand, like I did. These are great stands... but a kit or a mod is in order. Have you seen the Apimaye hives? Exceptional, like these stands. All it would take, really, is 4 J-bolts with wingnuts and longer crossbars. I didn't have enough J-bolts so I went with deck screws. Solid enough for farm work.Hope this helps somebody.

Seems not as well made as the more square version with metal fram supports.
I have two of the "older" version of the ultimate hive stand and I like them very much. They are expensive and not really justifiable on a cost basis, but I have them in my yard where I can see them from the house and I wanted something that looked nicer than cinder blocks and wood. Those two look nice and seem very well made. This version seems very cheaply constructed and the frame supports clip on loosely and wobble around. I would not buy another one of these but I might look for the older version if I wanted a good looking hive stand that would stand up to the elements.

There are NO HOLES to put sand in
This is a nice stand, but we spent 30 minutes trying to find the access point to put the sand in to add weight. Come to find out, there's not any. We had to drill a hole in each side to be able to add the sand to the legs. While that really upset me, I got over it. I think the stand is going to do well for our boxes.

Unsteady and frame holders are terrible
There's no way to add extra weight to the stand. It fell over tonight in moderate winds with 2 deeps and 2 newly added empty supers. The plastic frame holders are terrible, letting even a moderately full frame with bees slide right off the side -- expectantly upsetting the bees on the frame/ground. I would never buy this again.

Works well for Flow hive
Well made and very study. I have no concerns about my Flow hive tipping or anything like that. Needed to make some small modifications due to my own lack of foresight. Specifically, in order to use a hive weight sensor, I had to build a wooden crosspiece to hold the hive, as the stand was intended to have the hive sit down inside it.

Sturdy, simple and strong
Sturdy, simple and strong. Bought two of these to test them out and decided to get a third. Comes with screws to anchor bottom board to stand. Can fill with sand or water for additional stability but I don't think that is necessary. Good product.

Worth It I think
Pricey, but I love them. Considering they are made from recycled plastic, they are overpriced, but I think they are worth it, and a lot better than the cinder blocks the hives used to be on. Built in frame rack, and filled with sand they are more stable, but they are fine empty like mine are.

Highly recommende this product.
I have two of these now, love it! It puts the first box up to my shin knee area, it's stable and it has a frame holder on the side that holds 3 frames.
