Hard to throw

As SHTF goes...and mouths need to be fed....you would be wise to consider this excellent fishing net. With some practice and an eye to where the fish live...you can catch a boat load (or even a few) fresh fish to eat.Hooks and lines and bait is all good. But when you haul in a few dozen fish in a matter of minutes...you can be eating and cleaning up before the single hook fisherman even catches his second fish.

I’ve had several cast nets and this one was the least durable

This was for my grandson’s birthday. He likes the ease of using the net.

After 23 years of fishing I know a lot about cast nets. What I can tell you about this cast net is that although it is actually built pretty well; especially for the price ; it is far too light to actually use to catch anything.I knew as soon as I picked up the cast net that it would be too light to trap any fish. Considering the material that it's made of which sinks slower than mono as well as the extremely light weights as soon as it hit the water I knew it was a lost cause. I've never seen a slower sinking net. I cast onto shad 10 times perfectly and retrieved nothing. Switched back to my old net which only opens half way and had shad in 2 casts.

Easy to throw and works great.

Very nice net but be careful when ordering! The size listed on the description is the height of the net not the circumference. My net was illegal in my state due to being larger than 10 ft. I had ordered a 6-foot net thinking that it was a 6-foot spread. It was 6 ft tall. So that's a 12 foot spread which makes it legal in the state of Ohio. Sent it back and ordered an 4 foot net.
