Bright White is REALLY Bright!! Bought 3 More!!
Like these lights a lot - Really Bright.Initially I ordered 1 of these lights (Bright White Color) to do some testing on. Wanted to have some kind of lighting for emergencies as well as camping, etc.Received my order quickly and came in pretty nice cardboard packaging. After I'd had this one for a while, I ordered an additional 3 more to keep some in the house, another in the car, etc.Took one to our cottage in Northern Ontario (Being fairly remote, we have power outages/fluctuations pretty often) and plugged it into a charged battery bank (10,000 mAh) turned it on and hung it from one of the beams. This light isn't going to replace any of your "standard" bulbs for "full" lighting. But you will absolutely be able to move around without walking into anything and work/cook with this light. It is pretty bright to look at directly, and honestly I was able to read pretty well (when directly below the light).Looks just like a standard bulb (except for the cord obviously), the hook makes it super easy to hang on a nail, or in a tent. You can absolutely plug it into a laptop and use it that way. It does have approx 36" or cord to use. You will have to be a little creative finding ways to "hang" it when using a battery bank. The switch works really well, just make sure that you have some way to reach it (if it's up really high). The first night we kept it on for probably just over 3 1/2 hours and the battery showed about 75% remaining. The second night it stayed on for a little over 4 hours and the battery was at about 50% remaining (Meaning we had used approximately 2,500 mAh each night). For the third night, plugged the light into a Goal Zero Guide 10 with AA batteries (approx 2,600 mAh). and this ran for just over 3 hours until it went out (I'll have to do another test, I can't confirm that the AA's were completely charged).Very impressed with the light. I may get a few of the cool white color to do a comparison on the brightness.Whenever people see these, they can't believe that it runs on a USB plug. They always ask where I got them from and how much they are. Definitely a conversation starter ;-) The description says it can be used as a children's night light. I can't imagine my 4 year old daughter being able to sleep with this thing on.. It's that bright...If you need something for emergencies this IS the one to get.

No brainer, perfect for emergencies and camping when used with a power bank!
===UPDATE=== 9-9-16This update is for the light with the dimmer. Works as well as the others. The addition of the dimmer will add much more light time since camping and at night, you do not need it to be on the full brightness setting. I have read some reviews which state the 5w draw is really 2w, so therefore not as bright as stated. I am not doubting them, but people need to realize how much power is needed to be similar to a 60-100w light bulb. You would need to use a 30,000 mAh power bank to last even 2 hours. Power banks are about 65% efficient for the better ones.==Update++I purchased 2 more lights. Have been using them for a few months now and have had no problems.I have purchased 3 of these bulbs for emergency and camping uses. The light it puts out is a warm (yellowish) light that is easy on the eyes. It outputs as much light as a 40 watt bulb (in my estimation). On my original review I used the term fragile to describe the plastic housing. That was incorrect. It is not ballistic nylon by any stretch, but they are sturdy enough to survive a drop(s). I would not want to drop it on cement or rocky ground (even though I have and they survived). With that said, these are a great value! You will get about one hour of light for each 1,000 mAh of battery. I use a couple of smaller capacity power banks for each of these (rated at 5200 mAh each, actual energy transfer about 3,200 mAh)The lights cord is 6 feet long which means you will have to get the power source off the ground to reach and be out of the way inside a tent. I also use USB extension cables to get the power cord even longer. You can buy them on amazon from several manufacturers. The cord does have an in line of/off switch which is great. The light is hung up by a metal hook but could be hung by its cord with very little stress being put on the cord (the light is very lightweight!). The only thing that would make this perfect is if it came with a dimmer switch.+++++UPDATE 8-29-16+++++They have a dimmer switch version. Ordered and received it. Works great!

Worth the money
This is the second one of these I have bought. My first one has gone a little more amber colored instead of how bright it was at first. The second one I bought so far is staying very bright so maybe there's a defect with the first one. These light up the entire inside of my van and with such a long cord it's easy to move them around. Also having the hanging hook on these is very important for durability. I have had lights like this in the past without a hook and it ended up ripping the wires out because you could only hang them using the wire. The switch being close to the power source can be a slight problem depending on how your system is setup. You may have to get up to turn the light off. I still think these are well worth it

Light in the Darkness
This little LED Light is very handy in the tent. The switch on the cord is vey nice and handy. My tent has a nice glow inside and its the right amount of light.

A very good portable light
I bought some of the warm light variant a couple of years ago and they have been superb. When used with a 20,000mah powerbank they last a very long time. The diffuser throws the light omni-directionally but in the lower half so if you hang the 'bulb' above head height it will illuminate everything beneath it. I've just bought a pair of the pure white lights and I use them in my workshop coupled to a Makita 18V battery via adaptor as a form of emergency lighting when my solar batteries are affected by extreme cold. Two of the lights together flood my workbench with consistent and bright light at a good spectrum level so I can clearly see what I am working on. They are very good lights and they are very mobile. I highly recommend them.

A light light
Purchased this light to be used on our market stall, I have a portable mobile phone battery charger and this runs the lamp perfectly, the light seems to use very little battering and could get quite a few markets use off of one battery, the light is bright enough for what we need, and would easily light up a standard sized tent or as we had to the other day, to light a room during a power cut.It is not going to ever be as bright as a normal bulb, but I dont think it has ever claimed so be, it is however, it is a good portable lamp perfect for lighting a 6 foot table's worth of stock and for two people to easily read their books whilst camping or indeed during a power cut.

A powerful light.
Truthfully this was a decent and a convenient buy, as a couple of days after arriving, I actually found myself having a blackout for around 10 minutes, so what better time to test it out. This was bought with the intention of taking it camping with me later in the year. This was a lot brighter than I expected it to be (hurting your eyes to look at it directly) with it's 10 super-bright LED's, and would easily cover a tent in white light (rather than the comfortable orange tinge/warm colour in conventional lights in the household), as it gave ample lighting to my living room. It has a hook which would easily allow this to hang from a hoop in most tents, which is better than some other products that are literally a bulb on a wire. The wire isn't massively long, but is a pretty decent size and would be plenty long for most things, unless you're trying to attach it to the ceiling. The switch, which is a simple addition is just convenient rather than having to follow the wire to unplug from the powerbank or other source. There's no need to worry about overheating, as LED lights don't get overly hot and you could hold this in your hand with no problem or any thought of children coming to any harm should their curiosity take over.Seems pretty sturdy and could take a bit of battering but I would recommend against putting too much weight on it, just in case.A good buy for a decent price, if you have something to power it whilst camping, then it's almost an essential item.

I like this!
Excellent product. Comes possibly over packaged (I've seen complaints about under packaging elsewhere - these guys certainly listened!)Pros:Really very bright low temperature light (near daylight colour). Cold touch, being LED. Built in switch is a nice feature, and why I chose it over others.Cons:All LEDs are down facing. Very little light goes upwards, despite the diffuser. Good/bad depending on your point of view. Housing feels a little flimsy, but has not caused me a problem yet. No cable managementConclusion:I'm nit-picking, nothing worth losing a star for, to be honest.WARNING: this uses a little under 1A of power so I would advise caution if plugging into older PC USB sockets which might only rate up to 500mA. Damage to your device may result, so be sure.

Very usefull to have.
Got a few of these in case of power cuts.Haven't used them, but I'd rather be looking at them then for them. Will be powering them with battery banks if the power goes out, instead of using candles
