I have tried many brands for treating dandruff. By following the directions of this product, I did not notice any real benefit. I was also using the Phyto squam pre wash product along with this product. If anything, it made my dandruff issue worse. I believe it is because the salicylic acid. This ingredient is supposed to be an exfoliant, but it makes your scalp reproduce skin cells faster and you notice that you must use the shampoo too often just to not be flaking everyday. The best option is to choose a shampoo with "coal tar" as an active ingredient.

I have pretty severe dandruff, which I used to keep at bay using Phtyo's Phytheol Intense Anti-Dandruff Shampoo — a product they inexplicably discontinued and replaced with a much less effective scalp scrub. In between medicated washes I look for a shampoo that isn't medicated but also won't irritate my scalp, preferably something soothing. (Lately I've enjoyed Aveeno's Pure Renewal Gentle Shampoo, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0067H6E9G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I hoped this might do the trick, but I'm pretty convinced it irritates my scalp — or, perhaps more benignly, it fails to remove my loose flakes.Anyway, this is overpriced and doesn't work, I'm sorry to say. :/
