Good grower, needs a layer of paper towel for smaller seeds
(photo shows a week of growing wheatgrass and a mixture of broccoli and beans)I've had 2 crops from this so far, alfalfa and wheatgrass, both took about a week, I would say faster than a jar or plate method of growing sprouting seeds. I think this is due to the holes that allow air to circulate, the lid to keep in moisture (when you can't keep an eye on it, like overnight) and the fact that excess water can drain into the tray below, so the sprouts don't ever sit in too much water. The holes are fine for mung beans, but too big for seeds like alfala - as the other reviewer pointed out - but this is an easy fix, just lay 2 damp paper towels out on the tray before you start, then nothing will fall through. It's a great way to start growing things, it makes it easy and I will be using mine constantly from now on!

Very Interesting
I love this thing! It grows pea sprouts super easily. First I soaked the seeds for 10 hours, then I put them in the tray with in the bottom (so the water does not touch the upper tray or seeds). I then put the clear lid on and cover the whole tray with the box. For three days I keep these seeds in the dark. But I sprayed them twice a day to keep them moist. These micro greens needs 8 days to get! Then I cut them!Remember, beware not too many seeds to soak as they will expand and then the seeds won’t have enough space for the roots to find their way through the holes to reach the water in the bottom tray.Well worth and the effort and a lot of fun!

BIGHAVE Seed Sprouter Tray with Lid BPA Free Bean Sprout Grower
Great seed sprouting tray, A little larger than expected but will work just as well.

Not as described!
What I got is just 3mm holes throughout and no division in the middle. No left right difference. I am very disappointed. It is not suitable for seeds I intended to use: ie alfalfa and radish.

Perfect for Mung Bean Sprouts
Really perfect for growing mung bean sprouts. Holes are probably too large for smaller seeds but all you need to do is lay down some paper towel/cheescloth or other barrier that is clean and absorbent to lay the seeds on. It's deep enough to grow more than one layer of sprouts. The lid is good but optional (best without for mung beans) but great to have for other seeds. Getting some good crops after a few fails but that's all part of the learning process. Plenty of helpful videos to get you going on YouTube. Enjoy!

What’s not to like?
My first impression was “where’s the lid?”However it is carefully nested for minimal bulk during shipping.Looks neat and practical.Hopefully even I with no horticultural skills can grow some cress instead of buying mini packs in a supermarket.Exactly as described. Comes in three parts.
