This is a good kit to begin programming the vista 20P. It has the basic components to get started.

I bought this panel to replace an older ADEMCO wired system. I have an attached garage and wanted to install smoke and burglar protection inside and out.Some lessons learned:1. I went with all wired sensors - no batteries to run down or having to deal with poor sensor signals from wireless devices.2. All sensors located in the garage are pulled back to a auxiliary panel located in the garage. This allows for only one four wire pull back to the main alarm panel located inside the house.3. Installed motion sensors on the outside to announce approaches front, sides and rear of home and garage. Note: all outdoor sensors are programed to alert but do not trigger alarms.4. installed two batteries in the main panel for additional backup protection.5. Installed eyez-on module for self monitoring and communicates via modem. Its free and works great. There is a 24 hour monitoring option at a very reasonable cost. I am giving consideration at a later time6. Added the Tuxedo Touch key pad. I like the voice communications module.7. There is plenty of information and self help videos on the web to install panel and sensors.8. Buy the Vista 20P system as it has more capabilities especially when it comes to adding auxiliary panels.9. At the unboxing of the panel...... Power up the panel on the kitchen table and perform some programing and wiring of the different types of sensors. If it checks out on the kitchen table installation will move much quicker in the field.
