Sturdy Sewing Guide
This ruler is great for quilting and general sewing. So far I have used it to ensure cutting pattern pieces on the straight grain of fabric. Very well made.

Good accurate, extremely visible ruler with protected lines
We ordered this ruler to replace one of two Fiskars rulers that started losing their print after one month of use. It seems this ruler is designed with a yellow backing over the black lines. Their intent obviously to make this ruler more visible on both light and dark materials. To me it, the yellow backing, acts as a protective coating of the black lines as well. We contacted Fiskars and in four days, they are replacing both rulers. It will be interesting to see what the replacement rulers will look like. One thing right off the bat is that the Omnigrid is very visible. The yellow graduations jump right out at you. You would think all companies would put a protective coating over their painted on graduations. At least a transparent protective coating. The fiskars ruler was 1/2" wider than the Omnigrid. That was to provide you with a quick 1/2" seam allowance graduation down two of the adjacent sides(long and short). I like the Omnigrid from what we see so far. When the new Fiskars arrive we're considering using a fine artists brush to apply a thin coating of clear epoxy or clear lacquer over the black graduation lines on the bottom. When you're retired you have plenty of time on your hands. Grampa Joe

I love this ruler! I don't know how I managed without it! Extremely convenient to use in my limited sewing space. It's amazing what you can do when you have the right tools! :)
