Work great! One of the best.
These pill poppers work well. And they come with a round cardboard cylinder to fit over the tips to keep them pressed together. This is necessary to keep the jaws of the tip tight so pills don’t fall out. At first I didn’t know what the round cardboard pieces were for until I put them on the tips. The body of the pill popper is 0.47 inches in diameter so you’ll want to take that into consideration for the size of your pet’s mouth. I have cats and the popper works great on them. The 0.47 diameter body is big enough to hold three small pills or one larger one. I remove the plunger and drop the pills into the center of the body. I make sure the tip (or jaws) are tightly pressed together by the round cardboard piece. To insert the pills into your pets mouth put your hand behind its head and use your fingers to gently coax the animal to open their mouth. It just takes a small amount of pressure pushing against the jaw joint to get the pet to open their mouth. Then quickly inset the popper to back part of the tongue. Don’t go too deep. Then quickly push the plunger in and the pills should be far enough back in the pet’s throat for it to swallow the pills. Remember to hold the pet’s head slightly up. Be gentle. If you use force the animal will instinctively get fearful. You can talk to your pet to help keep them calmer.I’m dosing one cat two times a day with 1 1/2 pills. She takes them well and after it’s finished she acts like she doesn’t even remember what happened. Make the event as stress free so your animal won’t get traumatized by being force fed pills.

Arrived missing parts.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:product was more affordable vs competitorsFunctionality:this is supposed to be a set of 2, but one of the plungers is missing, so one unit is not functional.

Helped when nothing else worked
I sometimes struggle to get my chowchow to take his twice daily pills. He is past the point of being able to force them so this tool has been incredibly useful in getting the pill down his throat quickly and efficiently.

Not for large pills
Needed a much larger one. It did work well though if I broke the pill up into small pieces.

Works great1
I didn't even know these existed. My office clerk at my vet recommended it since my dog wouldn't take his pills. The only thing I don't like about it, is I have one large pill I have to cut in half for it to fit in the tube. Sometimes when I cut it it still won't fit. Otherwise I love it!

Saved us! Worth every penny.
We bought a few of these of different brands just in case. They all worked the same so it didn't matter which one we got. Our puppy broke his leg on a camping chair....7k later with a very expensive pin in his leg we had to keep our blue heeler, very active puppy on 4 meds multiple times per day for 8 weeks! Ugh! We tried everything from peanut butter (still won't eat it) to canned food, hot dogs, cheese, lunch meat, etc. He would figure out everything with a few days we ended up grinding them up and putting them in everything we could think of and he would figure it out and refuse to eat it. These pill shooters seed my sanity and his. I'd straddle over his back tilting his head up against my legs and you have to go kind of down the throat with the thing before pushing the button. If you don't then it is still in the mouth and on the tongue and they can spit them out. Then I would give him tons of kisses and love after and he'd forget I was forcing pills down completely. He never even fought me it was so quick and painless! Totally worth it!

Did not work as hoped
The product did not work as I had hoped. The pill I need to administer is round. It did not fit well into the device. After getting the pill in the device, the pill would not come out of the device once in the dogs mouth. I would return, but I didn't need until after the return date.

Useful tool
Works great. My old Labrador has to take denamarin medication everyday. Problem is it has to be taken on an empty stomach, but it’s a big-ish tablet and she doesn’t like the taste of it, she’ll spit it out. With this pill shooter, I’m able to push the tablet to the back of her mouth where she has to swallow it.
