I like how this camera hood collapses.

The flexibility makes for perfect versatility -- long hood when you need it, no hood when you don't. Unfortunately after about a year of daily use the rubber came apart at the main joint, see pic. I patched it for a while with duct tape but that eventually gave out. I'm going to buy another one because I don't see an alternative but I'm not really happy.

On first time removing this from its packaging & expanding the soft hood, it was in 2 pieces. I couldn't fit the soft part back on the ring. It's getting returned ASAP.

The rubber will not stay connected to the ring ...just keep that in mind.It's a flimsy rubber material but it will shade your lens to n a pinch.

It doesn’t fall, my old one would fall off all the time.

At full extension the hood can be seen by the lens and turns your rectangular picture to round. Nice effect if you looking for a binocular view as seen on TV.

Es un buen concepto, pero tiene detalles que bajan su calidad. La función retráctil dejó de funcionar (no regresa a su posición ya) a pocos días de uso y en condiciones muy sencillas (tomando fotos en casa). El aro donde viene sujeto no hace contacto bien y se zafa muy fácilmente pero no es sencillo reacomodarlo. La tapa del lente no encaja bien, y se cae.

A very useful attachment for the camera. Helps click photos in direct sunshine also
