On my 3rd replacement cable. The original had a straight fitting into the computer that stuck away the streamline surface of the cmputer corner. Finally one bumper too many and it failed at 1.5 years. first replacement was the wrong size(too small for 1/8" laptop connection. failed. 2nd replacement had the 90 degree 1/8" fitting to the laptop with a fancy heavy duty cable. The switch accessory inline on the cable failed at 8 months.This item fits into the headset as well as my 1/8" connector on my laptop. It has a thinner cable that is paired to the 90 degree 1/8". Works out well so far. Will have to return to update the durability issue I''ve been having with these headset cables(all different manufacturers).

Audio is only heard from one side (barely heard from other side, very faint). Claims to be compatible with Sennheiser 598-Cs; however, the plug does not fit like the included OEM cable. The connector inserts but is smaller and does not twist to lock.
