WALC 1 Aphasia Rehab: Workbook of Activities for Language and Cognition

There was a packaging sticker on the front of the book over the book title. I've been trying to get it off but it is leaving a sticky mess. Please reconsider where you put such stickers in the future. Maybe on the back of the book instead. This is a book used for professional programs and it is important for staff to be able to read the title and book uses which are on the front of the outside cover. This book has helped my wife recover from her stroke. Our therapisit uses it also.

This book is extremely helpful for improving executive functioning skills. My 87 year old mother has recently started using it daily to help improve, rebuild, reboot her executive functioning skills that were damaged after having a stroke nearly 3 years ago. My mother and I both appreciate the straight forward directions. My mother has used many other books in her recovery--but this book is indeed a standout, stellar choice. The lessons are appropriate in length and subject matter. My mother does not fatigue with this book which is crucial for her self esteem and sense of accomplishment. It is direct and easy to understand. It is NEVER too late to gain and improve executive functioning skills after a stroke. Every effort counts. I highly recommend this book!

This book has been a godsend for my dad who is recovering from a stroke. The lessons are short and don’t tire him yet are still effective. His speech therapist was impressed with the content and it is easy for me to work with him on the exercises on days when he does not have therapy. I would definitely purchase again.

Starts with the most basic cognitive reading skills and as these are mastered, you can move forward. One tip: Take your book into a "Fedex and More" or similar store and have the binding trimmed off and a spiral binding put on it. Only costs about 5 bucks and makes the book much easier to work with as it can then lay flat.

My husband has a brain injury and he works on this book every day .

Use this daily with my patients. Highly recommend
