Unfortunately, this one arrived completely broken, as it was very poorly packed. But also, when looking at it, it turned out to be so tremendously plain, I was kind of glad it was broken and had to return it.

The wood is a birch bent ring that is quite nice. The finish is well done and the joinery is beautiful. The white face of the clock is very easy to read at long distances. There is no wacky lettering or strange font - just a hint of the kind of clock from elementary school days. But, while the looks are there, the longevity of the function may not be. It is all plastic and clunky. For a short term fix, this is a great clock. For a long term addition to the family....skip it and find a Japanese made wall clock.

The media could not be loaded.  Everything went great for 2 years... until the second hand started moving in reverse....????

I'd been looking for a nice big clock for my kitchen/dining area and found this! LOVE it! Nice smooth second hand with no ticking and big clear hands so I can read the time from across the room. My room now has a nice edge of European chic! Well packaged and super happy with this purchase. Will be buying more of these for gifts.

I needed a new kitchen clock that included second and minute hands, that would be simply but elegantly designed.This clock looks perfect in my kitchen, and so far it is working perfectly.
