Great bulbs! break easily but still work broken.
These just arrived and I am satisfied. WARNING, the bulb IS GLASS and I dropped one, it landed on a soft cloth rug, rolled off and shattered. Of course the bulb still works great but it doesn't look as good and the glass is sharp. Much easier to break than a regular bulb! We put these in a three-bulb fixture so the three pack was just right. (Except one's broken.) The light is great, looks just like a regular soft white light and it's not the slightly green that some of these have. There is absolutely NO flicker, and they come on instantly. They say 'not for dimmers' on the base but other reviews say they dim. I did not try. I tested one bulb with a kill-o-watt power meter and it was 5watts, exactly. This is good because some LED bulbs rate the LED element and not the whole bulb, this one is correct. The glass bulb does develop some condensation when the bulb has been on for a while. This is now reduced after a few hours so it will probably go away. The white base gets just a little too hot to touch. I'm running these pointing down, not sure if it makes much difference. Still, MUCH cooler than the 60W they replaced. Unlike the picture, there is writing all around the white base so they don't look as nice as in the picture. If you really cared you could sand that off or wipe it off with some alcohol. Overall, these are fantastic bulbs at a great price, we took a 180watt fixture and brought it down to 15watts with no noticeable loss of light! But, handle with care!

These work very well above a vanity, not so sure about a chandelier.
I've replaced the bulbs in my six bulb fixture above my bathroom vanity. These lights work very well in this position, as they direct most of the light from the tip of the bulb. As the tips are pointed downwards towards the vanity, there is plenty of light, that illuminates the vanity as well as yourself standing directly in front of the vanity.Although I have noticed that there is less light directed outwards from the side of these bulbs than with a standard incandescent candelabra style bulb, so I don't know if they would appear bright enough to illuminate an entire room if installed in a chandelier, with the bulbs illuminating the ceiling more than to the sides or below the fixture. With a vanity fixture, there is usually general room lighting in addition to the vanity fixture, I feel these 25 watt equivalent bulbs are suitable, but if I was looking for a full-room lighting solution, I'd look for perhaps a 60 watt equivalent bulb in hopes that there would be enough lumens to make up for their highly directional nature of these bulbs. In other words, 60 watt equivalent light bouncing off the ceiling would likely be more effective than the 25 watt equivalent. Unless of course, your chandelier has a dozen or more bulbs, in which case, the sheer number of bulbs may produce plenty of light in your room, even with its indirect nature. In any case, I feel these lights work very well installed above my vanity.

Accurate color and output similar to incandescent light bulbs but BEWARE of UGLY GRAY WRITING!
Pros:- Nice color and output (color and brightness closely resembled my existing incandescent light bulbs)- Long-rated bulb life- Quality build and constructionCons:- Printed specifications on the white portion of the bulb make the bulb itself unsightly (defeats the purpose of an attractive candle/torpedo shaped bulbPersonal Experience:My home uses all candelabra based light bulbs inside and outside. Over the years, many of my light bulbs have died and I have neglected to change them. Finally, I bought a pack of the TCP 25 watt bulbs to give them a go. To my pleasant surprise, they provided excellent color and output nearly identical to my existing incandescent bulbs. I also like the long-life rating for these bulbs. When used in my outdoor light fixture, it actually provided brighter light output than my existing bulbs, so I decided to swap them all out. Some of the reviews have pointed out that the majority of the light emits in an upward direction from the bulb, and not so much from the sides. I have found this to be true as well. However, with light fixtures that utilizes reflective surfaces (such as my outdoor fixture that uses gold reflective paint coating inside), the light actually reflects with no issue and provides ample lighting in all directions. My complaint isn't with the quality of the color or output of the light, but more so with the unsightly gray writing around the white portion of the light bulb. These bulbs are designed to be attractive and candelabra bulbs are often used in chandelier style light fixtures. This means that the bulbs are openly visible and are intended to be part of the refined look of the entire light fixture. Unfortunately, the gray writing on the light bulbs is quite obvious to see with the naked eye and definitely looks like you put a "modern" bulb in a classic light fixture. Of course you can try to sand off the writing or use paint remover (like some other reviews suggest), but that's a lot of work to put in for these light bulbs. Conclusion:If you want light bulbs that produce excellent color and output comparable to incandescent light bulbs, this may be for you. But beware of the light directing predominantly upwards, and the unsightly gray writing across the white portion of the light bulb.
