It works.
I replaced this due to the kitchen light was out. I have a two fluorescent light bulbs type of light fixture. After I replaced, it works fine.

Looking on Amazon and other sites, one has to read the descriptions carefully on ballasts. T8 vs. T12 vs. ? , 40w for one or two bulbs, is this ballast spec'd for my 2 bulb fixtures. The product description and pictures answered my questions, the 2 day delivery, the price and Amazon's Choice flag made it done deal.Bought two of these for two 2 bulb 40w fixtures replacing 36 year antiquated ballasts. The new ones were a 20% the size and weight of the old ones, leads were pre-stripped and wires were color coded to match making it very easy to R&R. No flicker, no buzz and the lights are instant on.Debating as if to switch to LED but these ballasts made it easy to stick with Fluorescent system

Good price. Easy swap out for installed ballasts. (Much easier to replace ballast, than an entire fixture).ss When not available I used the Menard's version, which has less wires and requires some electrical knowledge to convert via the wiring diagram. My only reservation, is I've had to replace two of these already in the three years since the lights were installed. They are wet area Lithonia two bulb 48" fixtures from Lowes.

A must have for replacement type B LED Bulbs.
You need this if converting from old T9 fixture to the type b led replacement bulbs (ie the ones from Costco). The new bulbs are only compatible with a few ballasts. This worked great and I’m still a few $$ under a complete new Led fixture.

Good replacement for Resi-tronic II model 2004001 ballast
This ballast is a good replacement for the Resi-tronic II model 2004001 and matches all of the listed specs. I would like to thank the previous buyer for guiding me to purchase this item. Please note that while this ballast worked for use with T8 fluorescent bulbs, it did not work when used with GE LED T8 bulbs.

Failed in 1 1/2 years
This failed I’m 1 1/2 years. It was used in a clothing closet so it was only used a few minutes each day. It was easy to install and worked fine while it was working but I expected it to last longer.
