I love this, SO MUCH- and the cost- awesome!!
UPDATE 5-2022….door acts the same as the 1st day installed in 2019. My dog hairs it at least 10 times a day (20x round trips). Great sturdiness and durability Stop looking. Buy this! With all the fake review on Amazon lately (get on that Amazon it’s annoying!!!!) I was just super skeptical of how positive people were talking about this door. If you read just one line of my review...THEY WERE RIGHT- IT’S AWESOME.I’ve been desperate to find a dog door for the backyard that requires the least amount of “damage” to my house e.g. sawing a hole through wall to install. I also didn’t want something that was ugly to look at or impeded the function of the sliding glass door, like those full length inserts that take away from the clean all glass look to outside and make the sliding door opening smaller... and they were expensive! I read practically every review, researched other like products and even delayed purchase to “think about it”. I explain all this to show I’m basically picky as sin. So much to the point that I ensured I could return before purchasing.MUST HAVE SCREEN DOOR GUARD. Def would not recommend without it. The door is of substantial weight which is great because it’s sturdy and solid, but won’t hold without the screen door guard. I’m pretty sure you can install a guard on almost any screen door. The longest part of the install was figuring where to put it. I have a German Shep mix- about 85 lbs (the extra large juuussstttt fits him- I do wish there was another size up but only outta spoiling him- he uses it just fine). Hindsight I might have put it about an inch or so lower as he has to give a little tiny minor hop from outside to inside given the little step up. Again, even where I placed it is fine- I’m just a perfectionist. There is a template you tape to the door. Cut INSIDE the template, not around. I would suggest the bottom be the most focused on making straight as the weight sits mostly and will be the best way to make sure you install the door straight. There’s a little play for marginal errors- since the door and plate have a 2” boarder that cover the hole.Depending on you screen guard you’ll need good sharp cutters- but I happened to have a dremmel tool, which took minutes to cut the hole. IF YOU DO use a dremmel tool- suggest putting a piece of wood between screen and screen guard- just to ensure you don’t chew up the screen. That way you can make a nice clean slice through with the razor. 100% Cut the guard first, then cut the screen with razor blade. Screw in a few screws and Wam-Bam- NO MORE BUGS!!! Yyyaaayyyyyyu!!!!!!!!!!I am truly honestly so stoked and happy with this product. Of course I just got it and I’m not sure the durability over 1000s of in and outs use- but as of right now I’m confident I will be very happy it will last long enough for how much it cost and for how easy it was to install. Small wins still feel good ;)

Well Made. Read for Training Tips.
First things first...make sure you understand that this pet door is made to be installed in a screen door with a screen guard in place at the bottom. It does not come with that guard. We chose this design because it strengthens the setup a lot more than if it was simply installed through the light weight insect screen only. Ok, here are a few points to consider.Size: We have two dogs. The bigger of the two is a male schnoodle (mix of schnauzer and poodle). He's roughly the size of a normal Schnauzer at around 25 pounds. He's about 16" from the floor to the top of his shoulder, and around 7.5" wide across the chest. This door is a great size for him. Not sure he'd like going through one much smaller. Our other dog (female) is a little smaller, so she has plenty of room.Constructuon: This door seems we'll made. The materials are of good quality, and installation was very easy with the included instructions. FYI..I used a Dremmel Tool with cutoff disc to cut the screen guard. This made it easier. The door has a flexible, clear plastic flap for the dogs, and also comes with a solid panel that can be slid into place to "lock" it.Training Tips: Our two dogs are very different from each other. The male plowed right through it, and had it all figured out in 10 seconds. The female...not so much. She is afraid of her own shadow, and didn't want to have ANYTHING to do with it. Even coaxing her with food was useless at first. So, we approached her training in steps.Step 1 was to use painter's tape to tape the flap up and wide open. This way, we could coax her through with food. We left it taped open for a few days so she was used to going through it.Step 2 was to close the flap, but tape the magnet down at the bottom of the frame. This way, the flap swings freely with no force needed to break that seal. We would "help" her by easing the flap open just a little and letting her push it the rest of the way. Now, she goes through on her own (with the magnet still taped down). We just had to be patient and go in steps.Overall, a great product!

FANTASIC PRODUCT!
This pet door is exactly what I've been looking for!!My dog loves to go in and out constantly and we were having to leave the door and screen open for her all day long. The recent outbreak of Zika Virus and West Nile Virus in my area prompted me to find an alternative to leaving everything open. My husband HATES the pet door panels that install into your sliding door and refused to have one in our pretty new door, so I was desperate. After shopping around and only finding screen pet doors that were either too small or had terrible reviews I decided to try this out, despite the fact that I do NOT have a screen guard on my door (which my husband also hates and refuses to have in our pretty door). We installed this straight into the screen, however we did use pet screen which is much stronger and thicker than traditional screen and this stays in it very well! I have a very active 60lb Boxer/Rhodesian mix who has never used a doggy door before and she took to it after 2 days of training with treats. As other reviews have mentioned, the magnet that holds the flap closed is pretty strong which causes her to hesitate using it at times because she pushes it with her nose and it doesn't always open. But I would much prefer the strong magnet and a little more training for her than a door that doesn't stay closed.Eventually if she becomes too comfortable using it and runs through it at full speed then we will probably install a brace across the top to help support the weight of the door, but at this time it isn't needed.I am VERY happy with my purchase and will be buying another one to install on my enclosed patio's aluminum screen door!

Best choice
Very easy to install. This size was great for my 70 pound Golden Doodle and my 45 pound GD Puppy. They love having the freedom of going in and out of the house to our fenced back yard.

Awesome
Very happy with this product. We were reluctant to use it because it was designed for a screen door with a screen guard and our door doesnt have one. It went on super easy and the screw system makes it very secure. We have a 60 lb doodle and a 6 month old doodle pup they use with great ease. Love it!!

The screw holes on the top and bottom of the frame are missing, not sure if this will hold only with the side screws and the product is not strong enough so may split if I try to drill holes
