Good purchase
Repaired to lamps, this switches are better than what comes on the new lamps. They are sturdy, work easier & have a sm. light to find in the dark .I am seriously thinking of replacing my other cords with these !!

In line power switch
I bought this item to replace old rotary switches that overheated and no longer reliably worked to turn picture lights on and off. It was easy to install, works great and looks good. I’m thinking about buying more switches to use on other lights throughout our home.

Not a simple install
I purchased a similar item many years ago that was so easy. You simply put one side of the switch on each side of the cord, squeezed the two halves together and replaced the screw to hold them. These require cutting the cord, splitting the each end into a V, stripping the insulation away from the wire. finessing the wires around the screws and tightening. It is working great.

Looks neat and functions better
Mounted on night light cord for kitchen. Now easy to operate and switch looks like part of fixture. Used another for an under the counter kitchen light that we were plugin in to operate. Now we leave pugged in and operate thru the new switch. They work so good, purchased again to operate a swag hanging lamp in bedroom. Attached all switches to wall using double sided tape. These switches have led light making them easy to locate in the dark. Suggest you tin solder the lamp cord connections that attach to the switch to prevent strands of wire from shorting in the switch.

Works great for shop lights that don't have a pull cord
Got some LED shop lights for my basement that just plugged in and didn't have a pull cord to turn them on and off. Thought about installing a switched outlet, but then saw these.Install was super easy, just cut the cord at a convenient place and screwed the wires into the terminals of the switch. Put the switch back together and plugged it in, works as well as could be hoped. Now I don't have to unplug them to turn off after I'm done working on stuff.Great value and easy solution.

High quality switches
I just needed a simple switch to re-use a hidden wire (from the old light) with a replacement light. But these are far higher quality than I was expecting, especially for the price. They are very solidly made with thick brass and good screws for the electrical current path. The switch has a very solid-feeling "snap" when you turn it on or off. We've only been using it for a few weeks, but based on the internal construction, I expect it to last a long time (and we have a spare because it came as 2 switches!). I'll probably find an in-line cheap switch around the house somewhere and use the 2nd switch for that.

Easy to install
These switches are small but large enough to wire and create a nice looking installation. Pay attention to which end you use as the input so the LED indicator works as expected. If you want the LED to light only when the switch is on, then it needs to be on the load side. If you want it lit all the time to make locating the switch easy in the dark, then it needs to be on the source side.

More difficult to install than some.
Was surprised to find four screw connections inside. You are obliged to cut both wires and connect to four screws. Screw heads are small so had to solder wires to stiffen so strands of wire wouldn't splay asunder when screw is tightened. Otherwise appears well made.
