Size Down!!! Buy Order these! They are Great!
Will give 5 Stars as soon as I get the Fit right! These Water Shoes are So Comfy!! The feel is nice and is a Great Quality so Far! The only complain is if you tighten the strings to fit then they are so Long you step on them, easy fix is to adjust the top to fit at a good length and tie a knot in the bottom/front of the laces and cut them there, that way you dont loose the hard thing on them. And if your ordering them, at least on me I Typically wear either an 9 in women's, So I ordered a 8.5 cause of some reviews say size down, some say size up! It's all so confusing!! I DEFINITELY needed to size down!!! I'm sending these back and going to a 7.5!!! See my pics about the laces and the size. Hope this helps anyone.By the way! The soles are perfect on gravel or in sand! I tried them on both in my Garden. Plus the yellow inserts are so squishy which makes them feel like a real shoe, not just a water shoe!

These water shoes are so cool!
I’m so pleased with this purchase. I have plantar fasciitis and was looking for something that would protect my feet when clambering over rocks on my river treks. This fits the ticket. They slip on easily and are super comfortable. I wore them on a trek through the bushes and up the side of a mountain to a waterfall and they held up well. Had to cross over a river and I loved the fact that the shoes didn’t absorb the water - they dried out quickly so I didn’t have to change shoes or walk around in soggy sneakers like others in my party. I kept them on for the whole day after that and did a couple of other short treks over rocks and rough terrain and I had no problems. I’m always afraid of falling or slipping on smooth surfaces, but these have a good grip and stay secure on your feet, so I feel confident tramping through uneven or slippery terrain in them. They’re so nice and comfy even for padding around at home. And they’re cute and funky looking to boot! I wear a 10 in sneakers and that’s what I ordered and they fit true to size.

A YES from someone with picky shoe taste
They feel weird on my feet bc they’re straight cushion and the toes are wide like duck feet...but I guess that’s how water shoes are supposed to feel? They’re a bit too long bc I’m a half size(in between sizes), but if I pull the laces real tight and tie, the water shoes stay on quite well (if I go down a size, my toes would end up rubbing up against the front of the shoe so I’ll stay with what I got). They don’t rub when walking, I think the wide-toe-area feature helps with this, so that with every step, your toes can spread naturally as if walking barefoot. I jumped in and out of the pool, they were not sloshy, my feet did not slip inside the shoe, the water emptied through the honeycomb holes in the insole of the shoe and out the holes of the sole. I ran around with wet shoes making sudden stops on the pavement and did not slip. They are surprisingly very grippy. I’m suuuuper picky as to what go on my feet, and I really like these water shoes. A win for me! ;)

I love them
Update: We are back from our trip, and I used these shoes frequently while swimming in the ocean and walking around in shops. They were nice and grippy on rocks, so I didn't slip around when checking out the tide pools. They are better than most shoes at keeping out sand, unless the sand is deep and loose and it comes over the top at the ankle. I don't think there's really anything you can do about that. The fit at the ankle is snug but not uncomfortable. If it was tighter it would not be comfortable, so I'd rather get a little sand in my shoes. I swam in them with no problems, and was grateful to have something covering my feet in the rocky shore beds of Hawaii. They do not dry quickly while you're wearing them though.. Even in a warm place like Hawaii. That's not a game changer for me though, I was happy to have them.I bought these water shoes for an upcoming trip to Hawaii, so I have been wearing them a couple days to make sure they will be comfortable for my feet. I've had some issues lately with bunions, and some pain in the knuckle of my big toe on both sides, so I was a little leery of shoes with no arches. I was pleasantly surprised however, because I've been wearing these shoes for two days now and my feet actually feel better than they usually do. I wear rubber toe separators between my big toe and second toe on each foot, and there is plenty of room in the shoes for that. At first my feet felt a little uncomfortable in that joint I was talking about, but it seems like using barefoot shoes really is healthy for your feet! I am enjoying them so much that I searched for some winter shoes like this. I haven't used these in the water yet so I will try to remember to update my review when we get back from Hawaii. Aloha!!

excellent kayak shoe
I typically spend 4-6 hours in my kayak at a time, and this shoe is flexible enough that it's close to barefoot, so I can place my feet in any position on long trips. The sole is solid, so my feet don't get wet if I step in the water's edge when launching or exiting. The shoe opens wide for ease of donning and the velcro strap closes it tightly. There is little support, though, but good enough for short portages or to get you from the boat to a better pair of shoes for walking. I wear and 8.5 women's athletic shoe, but the size 8.5 was too large. Size 7.5 was perfect, and fits both barefoot and with a thin sock for warmth.
