Absolutely fabulous slow and simmering burn romance
I became a huge fan of Ella after I read ‘To Love Jason Thorn’ and after that I had to stalk this author and read and listen to all of her books. So when I found out her new book was coming soon . I was over ecstatic and this book checks all the boxes for what I had expected from Ella Maise -✔️Page Turner✔️Eloquent Writing✔️Captivating Plot✔️Relatable Characters✔️ Slow Burn RomanceThis book was beyond my expectations and the story and characters were truly mesmerizing and left me in awe. It’s a slow burn romance which kept me enthralled and flipping through the pages . The characters and their chemistry was pouring through the pages ."I want to be that person to you, rose. I want to be the person you lean on. You and I, we're the same. We have no one but each other. You'll lean on me and I'l do the same. We'll learn how. we're in this together..." Jack was like no other characters Ella has written previously. He was this enigma and a mystery. A perfect male specimen who I wanted to study in depth under a microscope. He had this untouchable aura around him. With his frowns and arrogance his character attracted me to find more what he was really about. I wanted to peel layers off him to find out the real Jack."My husband was perfect. With all his arrogance and prickliness, Jack Hawthorne was perfect for me.He wasn't what I'd had in mind or even what I'd wanted for myself, but he was perfect and already mine, truly mine. There was no doubt of that in my mind..."Rose was this breath of fresh air. The book was honestly sooooo soooo good and Jack totally kept me hooked with his mysterious aura . This is a slow burn romance and though I am not a huge fan of slow burn romances but this book was sooo good with its beautiful writing to mesmerizing characters. One of my favorite books from 2019.I wish Ella won’t make her readers wait another year for us to savor and indulge in her beautiful story. I can’t wait for the audiobook to be released. It would be a treat to listen to Jack & Rose’s Story. Ella know how to take her readers by surprise and keep them hooked from the get go and this book will surely keep you hooked. Definitely a must read and I highly recommend this book. Best Slow Burn Romance of 2019 and surely not to be missed

3rd act break up, but didn’t mind it
This was a really sweet read with well developed characters and a flushed out plot line.I normally hate 3rd act breakups and detest one character keeping something secret when revealing it would solve everything. However in this one instance, I was actually able to sympathize with Jack and why he wasn’t telling rose some important details. I totally get it, and oddly think it worked naturally with who the characters were. I also didn’t mind Rose breaking up with Jack after the big reveal, because that was a logical answer to feeling betrayed. Luckily the 3rd act breakup didn’t over stay its welcome, and it had a good resolution.I liked both characters felt they each were their own people and it was a really sweet happily ever after read!

It could've been better...
🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧⭐⭐💫 Where's the Plot StarsI'll start by saying that I really liked To Love Jason Torn and that I loved To Hate Adam Connor. With that out of the way, I"ll say that I can't see this book as something written by the same author. Not exactly anyway...The book starts when they're getting married at a court house, with she internally freaking out cause she barely knows him. Afterwards he says that it was a mistake and disappear for more than a week.I was so confused that I restarted the audiobook and even checked the ebook to see if I was missing a prologue or even any kind of introduction of the whys or the whos.More than half of the book consists of she working at her coffee shop, while he follows her around being cold and grumpy, while still helps her with everything she may need. It's weird cause you don't know until the end, why he really wanted to marry her.It was not an arranged marriage, but an instant proposal and acceptance. There's obviously more to it that I'm not saying, but my point is that when the twist that would answer the why finally arrived, it was too late in the story and honestly, too lame.It would make more sense if he had told that he did it all for love, even if it would also be stupidly cliche, than the reasons why he proposed a woman that didn't even knew him. There was little to no plot at all.It was cute to see them falling for each other, she helping him to be a civilized man and he offering her the family support that she never had. I really liked them as a couple. Somewhere along the way, I started to warm up to them, and I was definitely swooning over Jack running through the Central Park to save Rose.As a romance, it was sweet even if too long and slow. But as a thick book, I wish there was more depth to the story. The narration was decent and helped me to finish the book... I would probably be bored if i was reading it.

My heart!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved this book so much!!! Jack is so blunt and wants to come across as cold and uninterested but it's the little things he does that give him away. Bringing Rose flowers and ordering 15 coffees when her shop opened were such sweet gestures. And she can be herself with him, which I absolutely love. I loved how their attraction and their love for each other kept growing every single day. And he was jealous of the smallest things!!! He's too cute 🥰. I love how Rose understands his personality and doesn't let his brutal honesty deter her. And then they stopped pretending, and he called her baby, and he's so good at taking care of her!!!!! He's the sweetest!!! ❤️❤️❤️ And the epilogue was just so sweet and perfect!!!I'm not sure why it took me so long to finally read this book but I'm so happy I did. It is truly an amazing story and I love Jack and Rose so much!! I will definitely be reading more books by Ella Maise. Her writing is superb!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My first Ella's book, but the last from the looks of it 😉
The media could not be loaded. There are a few things I like to know before I add a book to my looong list of "to read", you might too so here it goes:Is it a standalone? YesDoes it have a cliffhanger, in case it isn't? —————Does it have a HEA? Yes 😍Now here's what's I think of this book (and happened to me):Is it the best book I've ever read? No, but it's up there 😉Is it the worst? Not even closeDid it make me smile? Yes!Laugh? Yes 😁😄😆Cry? Yes 😢😢😢😢Did it annoy me? No, I don't think so...If I knew what it was like first-hand, would I read it? YES! Without a shadow of a doubtNow Ella, thank you for the dedication "For anyone who has ever felt like they didn't belong"Ella! I love them! I love their story! I love that Rose it's this fragile little thing that a man has to treat as if she was made of glass, and Jack... I... I love that he showed up for her when she needed (or not), that he was a MAN, a responsible, accountable, respectful man! He was there for the good and the bad, he didn't hide behind some excuse or bullshit. I love them as a couple and as individuals! I wish I could be their friend...

𝓑𝓸𝓸𝓴 𝓡𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀Marriage for one ❣️♾️/⭐I finished this book five days ago. But i think my heart and my mind are still not over with this book. Highly hangover!! I am so not done with this book.Oh my!! Ella Maise surely knows how to make your heart beat faster. The story is everything.Jack and Rose💕The story is a perfect amalgamation of marriage of convenience and grumpy-sunshine tropes (total sucker for these two).Rose never knew what stuck her before she said "I DO". That one I Do changed her whole life (Everyone deserves that I DO. I don't know if insta operates where you reside but you hear me GOD loud and clear).Rose found her love in a man who is honest, careful and meticulous when it comes to her. He noticed every little thing about her (take my heart away).I think Jack is just a blend of all the perfect adjectives ever existed for a man. He shared his home and his whole life with her when she needed it the most. He asked her to be his wife and he would be his man [I have a soft spot for the man who works on their woman's insecurities {bcz as a woman i know we have many} with ease not with complaints). And what an amazing work Jack did. He fulfilled his wife's dreams. Supported her. Helped her out. Stayed with her at worst. What more could Rose ask for. What more could anyone ask for. It's PERFECT!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET STORY. Everything is cute and i am telling you everything is cute!!!Love love love this book....And plus whenever he said "MY WIFE" OMG❣️❣️❣️HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Gran bel libro
Super consigliato!
