The only thing lacking is the water gauge
After recieving the 5" self watering planters from this company, I immediately ordered the smaller size. They would have been perfect if they had a water gauge like their larger counterparts. Unfortunately they don't, and they don't have a small clear portion to see the water level either. For these reasons I had to return the product and go with a different company. I'm rather disappointed, as the other company's pots aren't as dark a grey, and the liner is white instead of black

Perfect with a little modification for wet soil plants
I modified these self-watering pots by cutting two holes in the middle low-most point of the black soil pot. Then I cut a piece of self-watering string (also purchased from Amazon) about 2.5 times the length of the pot (so that it was long enough to lay comfortably down deep into the bottom of the water reservoir (the white plastic pot). Lastly, I threaded it through such that the ends were manipulated throughout the middle of the soil and as close to the plants roots as possible.Very happy. So far, I’m using this setup for both kitchen parsley and mint. Excited to purchase and plant dill and chives in these as well.I’ve attached four photos: 1) to demonstrate that I didn’t do this string wick enhancement for my Thyme plant but you can see that I did place a pink tape line at the max water fill line; for those who complained the water fill line was hard to see, I completely agree which is why I decided to add pink colored paper tape, 2) to show the wick at the top of the soil line for my mint plant which needs constant moist soil — the wick is the white dot just behind the ‘M’ in ‘mint’; whereas my parsley plant has a wick that ends about an inch below the soil line (hope that does the trick for the parsley as the top inch needs to be able to dry out!), 3) the generous amount of looped wick below the soil pot to ensure it reaches every last drop of water in the white reservoir, and 4) showing the soil pot nested in the white plastic water pot which I then nested in my own metal decorative labeled pot from Etsy (seller is ‘NaturalieCraftieHome‘ if you’re interested).Good luck!

Perfect for Leca (semi hydro) setup!
I've ordered other pots from this brand multiple times I love how inexpensive they are and great quality! Its plastic but its thick sturdy and not shiny or tacky plastic. It has more of a matte finish, looks cute and easy to keep the white pot clean.Being a plant hoarder, It's great if you need multiple pots and dont want to spend a ton of money but want it to be more stylish. I use the self watering pot for my semi hydro setup using leca it works perfectly for my needs! I havent used it for soil yet but I would assume it would be best for plant that like to stay constantly moist like calathea and ferns. I could see the design of this working well with soil. The white outer pot has a barely visible line inside to tell you where to fill the water which I appreciate but wish the line was more noticable.

functional but not decretive
I bought to plant some very young violets. It is easy to keep from over watering because there is a pot with-in a pot. They are the right size for young violets. Since they are plastic I don't have to worry about water marks on my window sill. As I said: functional. They would be great if I was a grower but I'm not. I want my violets in something prettyI have the one set of four, but won't be buying again.

Great Product to Use With Indoor Gardening Light Rig
I purchased the T4U 4 Inch Self Watering Plastic Planter with Liner Pack of 6 to go with an inexpensive indoor light rig for a beginning indoor gardener. This is a perfect for someone who might or might not be enthusiastic about indoor growing long term. The gift was much appreciated. The pots have been seeded and the seeds are up.

lighhtweight
I like the squarish shape which allows the containers to be arranged compactly. They are lightweight and compact. The insert allows water to drain from the plant. Due to the small space inside the insert, I would probably use these only for small succulents.

Worth every penny
Such a great purchase!! I have all my herbs inside now so I can have them all year round. I use a timer that it plugs into. Literally zero work. Every few days check the water. Great product and it looks great!

Good for violets and gift giving. Cute design.
Using these for my baby african violets. They are very happy and growing fast. It does dry up a bit fast because it has a small reservoir, but that's totally fine because it gives my plants a few days of wet and then a few days of dry before I remember to water them. They seem to like that. (If you're looking for a deeper reservoir, this might not be your product. Look for the taller pots, they tend to also have very deep reservoirs at the bottom.) All in all, I like these for baby/small plants and they're good enough to use for giving plants as gifts.

Way too expensive
These used to cost much less and then the price went up. I asked the seller why the price went up and he said they improved the quality, which is a load of Bull. These pots are exactly the same as the ones I bought for much less. The plastic is exactly the same and no improvement have been made. With that said, I do like these pots for growing Hoyas in lechuza pon. I do find removing the inner pot difficult, so I made wire loops that I attached to the small holes in the top edges of the inner pot. Having the loops makes it similar to remove the inner pot.

Wish they came in black
Great self-watering pots made of sturdy plastic. I really like these type of pots because they come with a removable reservoir which makes watering and cleaning much easier. These pots have really helped my tendency to be an underwaterer.I only wish these also came in black. I hope the seller sees this and makes them in black!

One pot with a hole
Overall good product but one planter had a hole in it and considering the prices of these pots that is not acceptable. Too much of a hassle to take out my other plants from the one I used so I’m keeping them

Small planters
Good little pots. Key word is little. They were smaller than I anticipated which is my fault as it’s clearly labeled. Using now for smaller herbs.
