Very effective as stepper motor controller

Product is very good at generating pulse signals for stepper motor control. Three speed ranges make it easy to get the correct speed for application. The downside is that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS beyond what's listed in the Amazon product description. Thus you're never quite sure you've interpreted the few little cryptic comments correctly as you hook the thing up. The lack of any information about how it actually works has made me a bit hesitant to try it as a PWM generator to run a DC motor. Switching from pulse generation (stepper motor) to PWM (DC motor??) is done via a little jumper on the board. I'm assuming the device has virtually no current capacity so I would only use it as a signal generator. The other negative feature is that I have not figured out a way to mount the thing in an enclosure to protect it in a metal shop environment. If it's enclosed, there's no way to get to the push buttons which control "enable" and "direction."But after fiddling around with an Arduino set-up to run my stepper motor, I found this device to be much more satisfactory and much more stable than my Arduino in a shop environment.
