Swanson Tool Co BLL240 24 In. Lightning® LED Box Beam Level—Pro Series

This 4 footer is absolutely solid. It looks like it can withstand blows, (I baby it) with its rubber shock absorbers on its ends. The rare earth magnets are strong. The lights are helpful all the time; even when you think you've got ample light, maybe in a shop, you pop the lights on ... much easier to see from any distance. And the color of the lights is very cool. I'm very proud to have this level, the largest from Swanson's Lightning series.

Excellent tool. First thing was to check accuracy against a water level. Perfect. The illuminated vials are great. The graduation lines are really sweet. No more taping a spacer to a level to obtain grade. Very pleased. The pipe groove is also very handy. Haven't used the magnetic feature yet but it does keep the level from sliding around in the tk. Make sure no debris sticks to it or you will not have true level. This is a great tool.

Purchased this two-foot level to replace my old one which disappeared from the jobsite one day. This size level is imperative to my work, from setting cabs, to using it as a straight edge for drawing lines, it's like an appendage. The rubber end bumpers are big and hefty and the level itself is finely crafted. The whole idea of having vials that light up is ingenious. Can't count the number of times I had to squint to see bubbles in dimly-lit areas. I never considered owning an illuminated level, but since buying a month ago, I've used the lights countless times and the feature has really come in handy. My only complaint is that it's nice to have a full 24" straight edge, however, on this model the metal only extends to about 22 inches and the rubber bumpers make up the remaining two inches on the ends. Since the rubber is offset about 1/16 from the metal, you can't make the full 24" line without a little squiggle at the ends. Otherwise, this level is fantastic. I use it constantly and it's holding up like a champ.

My last level was lost when I, in a moment of stupidity, placed it stop my vehicle then drove off. It was not the blue magnetic jewel I have now. this stays put when placed on metal and the led light are great when in a closet. I especially like the double level line if I need an set incline. So far this level proven to be accurate and durable.

Ordered two of these and they must have been old stock. They were brand new and still in factory packages. Both were dusty which I would have still accepted. But the real issue is they had batteries in them and both had leaked and corroded the terminals so therefor the lights didn't work.

I just received my Swanson led level about 15 min ago and they said batteries included and when I tried to turn the led lights on it would not activate so I changed out the batteries and it turned on.im only writing a bad review because they sent me dead batteries.swanson should make this right by sending new batteries

Got this for my Husband for Christmas. He loves it!! The LED lights are very bright, even in the sunlight...which really surprised me. The quality of this product is very durable and the blue gives it a nice look. The rubber handle grips are not cheap quality and give a nice touch. We liked it so much that we even purchased one as a gift for my Father.

Been waiting for one of these for years. Works great, built great. Been in construction for 38 years using a level every week, can't tell you how many times I burnt my fingers using a bic lighter to see the vials.Even if you work out side its still a great level for the price.

its a nice level but the light has a short in it,wheni turn it on and place on wall it turns off,have to whack it to come back on and a slight bump turns off again
