Hooked - 30 Minute Expert Guide: Official Summary to Nir Eyal’s Hooked

I'm a business owner of a website, but still have to consider all factors of owning a store-front business when I go about my daily tasks. This was a great, quick read that was easy to understand. I loved the Take Aways and Take Action questions to think about at the end of each chapter because they made me re-evaluate what I just read, and how I can apply it to my own business. It's set up nicely with well-defined chapters, so if I needed to go back to elaborate on a topic or question, it's easy to access.There are some awesome pictures (diagrams, etc.) that really helped in understanding the concepts, as well. I'm a visual learner, so these came in really handy, and would probably help other visual learners, as well. This book was exceptionally good at pinpointing how to market a product, which is something every consumer OR business owner should read!I want people to need my website more than I need them, as individual readers. This book helped me to understand how to do that, methodically and purposefully - without losing touch with the personal side of it. I received this guide free to review with my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this guide it was scary how true it was how the steps lead to habit forming and how you need the certain steps to make a product people will want to keep using and form a habit to it. Even if you are not reading to make a product this book was informative and true I see myself doing this forming habits on sites and to products and this guide shows you why. Thought it was interesting and true people bored log into Facebook because they are lonely I find myself doing this a lot as well as other sites it is crazy how the way it is explained really does draw you in to these sites and products and form habits for you. I liked the study where everyone was given the same wine but they thought they were given more expensive wine over time so they enjoyed that wine more because they thought it was more expensive but it really was the same wine the whole time I see a lot of people who do that just like with placebos people think it is a cure or a fix in there brain so there ok but really it is a placebo it is crazy how much hold products and sites have over us. For someone trying to build a product or site this book would help you if you follow the steps because I myself have so many habits formed now to sites and it is a scary thing how manipulated we all can be by this. it is true Certain emotions just automatically trigger actions now like if I'm bored I listen to music usually Pandora and Google has everyone also because if you dont know something or your confused you automatically now Google things you want to know. Very interesting guide and short easy to read you will find yourself thinking oh my gosh this is true I do this.

This is what I would call a down and dirty, to the basics book about how to create a strategy for your product or business. The chapters aren't lengthy or overly clinical in their wording. If you are a business owner or even a blogger this is a helpful book to read. The psychological and sociological implications of a "product" are discussed and explained. The why's and how's of getting customers and keeping them are fascinating. The analogy of a customer "scratching an itch" is right on target. This is a great book for anyone running a cottage business, bloggers, or even larger companies to read. The simple, yet insightful information will help anyone succeed in business. "Hooked: 30 Minute Expert Guide" is a MUST read for anyone looking to jump on the app designer wagon. This book is filled with tons of tips and info on exactly why we are all addicted to our favorite products like FB, instagram and amazon and how to make products that are equally as popular. This book goes into detail about we we react to different triggers without even knowing it and how to use those triggers to create a successful product. One of the best things about this book is the amount of information that is packed within a 30 minute read! It was very interesting to me to see the reasons behind my social media addictions haha. I was given this book at no cost in exchange for my honest and unbiased review and while I'm not in the market of making habit forming products I do know many people who are and I will be recommending this book to all of them!

As a busy stay-at-home mom who often dreams of owning her own business after my children are in school full-time, I was interested in reading a quick and straightforward summary of Nir Eyal's book. I found the 30-Minute Guide to be a very quick and easily digestible read. The chapter summaries were to the point and I liked how the author included the Take Aways and Take Action questions at the end of each chapter. The Take Aways were a great recap of the chapter's main ideas and the Take Action questions made me critically think about each chapter's main ideas.As someone who doesn't have a lot of time for perusing, I found the features of this Guide to be most helpful. Particularly, the diagrams and figures gave me a visual of the theoretical material while helping extrapolate major concepts and ideas. Each chapter was laid out very pragmatically: They all began with a summary of the accompanying book's chapter, defined all major terms and used easy-to-follow visual representations to portray the Hook Model, Habit Zone and Habit Testing.The Guide concluded with a case study, which helped bring everything together in a real-life way. After reading the guide, I feel as if I have a better handle on how to go about developing my products and getting my business off of the ground. I am happy that I did receive this book for free, in exchange for my feedback, and found it to be a worthwhile use of my free time!

De fato, se gastar algumas horas pesquisando na internet você pode encontrar material mais profundo sobre o tema, sem gastar dinheiro algum.Outra coisa, se já leu "O Poder do Hábito", não há motivos para ler Hooked ou o seu resumo.
