Arcturus3D Leafy Ghillie Suit -1,000 Laser-Cut Leaves | Lightweight, Breathable Camouflage for Hunting, Paintball & Airsoft

I "still-hunt". For those of you who know what that truly means, you can skip this paragraph and go straight to my serious notes on this product, below. For those who believe it means "sitting still" (like in a stand or blind - which is not "hunting", that would be "ambushing"), still hunting is actually the opposite; it means I stay on a stealthy and subtle move, covering lots of land, seeking out my prey. So being inconspicuous is the utmost priority! Here are my serious notes:I purchased this suit 2 weeks ago and have used it for 3 deer hunts in Caldwell TX (December). Before I tell about how this product effected my hunts, with point by point notes: here are the product Pros & ConsPros:- Super light weight- Super compact; you can stuff it into nearly anything with ease.- Thin and breathable - but it still slightly increases the retained body heat, so take that into account based on the weather and what you plan to wear underneath.- Quiet material - I never heard the suit while moving.- Goes on & comes off with ease, and you can slip it over any clothing you choose. I enjoyed using polar fleece or sweat pants and a hoodie underneath.- There are slits to access the SIDE pockets of the pants you are wearing underneath, and they were in perfect place for the typical pockets of sweat pants. I don't think slits for back pockets would be practical.- You can wear any color clothing underneath - it will not be visible.- Durable material - I snagged it several times on thorny vines and it never ripped.- Roomie - I wear a size 40 jean and their size XL fit over my clothing.- There are wide and thick solid rubber elastic bands sewn into the cuffs of both the shirt and the pants, the pants stayed perfectly around my boots the entire time.- It does not pick up debre and it is super easy to clean. - EFFECTIVE!!! [see notes on the hunts below]Cons:- The other type of ghillie suits, that are made with lots of patches of strings allow you to tie local follage in (but they also pick up unwanted things and make it difficult to clean); you can not do that with this suit, you would have to pin on any follage you want to add to this suit. I do not consider this a problem, so it was difficult to even call it a "con".- I will make this MINOR defect note: when it arrives, be sure to look the entire suit over and you may find some of the "leaves" were accidentally sewn down at the tips where they overlayed other leaves sewn in. I just gentley pulled them free (some I snipped) so they could flow and flap freely as entended.Notes on my hunts and how I knew this product was effective:- Squirrels hardly noticed me and moved around in the trees in close and plain site, I could have had a field day dropping squirrels (great news for anyone who likes hunting them).- I walked up on and startled a wild hog that never noticed me until I was about 20 feet away! I scared it and it ran screaming in the opposite direction! Yes, I am still snickering about it!- I watched a doe bed herself down in the shade of a tree in a field, paying me NO mind as I moved slowly by about 200 yards away.- I walked up on a total of 12 deer (5 buck and 7 doe) in three 2-hour hunts in the past week (seeing at least 2 deer during each hunt). Regretfully, neither of them were legal, as we are experiencing some strict guidelines this year. When I say "walked up" that means I was within 100 yards or less. Any hunter knows how alert and keen eyed deer are.- I had a group of 5 deer walk within 50 yards of me while I was standing in the middle of an OPEN FIELD with zero cover.- I did all this with NO scent blockers or special soap to neutralize odors. But I did, of course, use wind to my advantage, as any skilled still hunter would, but I also turn around to check to see if anything has come into areas I have already passed through: twice I discovered deer downwind of me - if they smelled me, they sure didn't spot me.- I was in a wide open field attempting to get to a new area when I spotted a doe about 300 yards out, so I haulted and let her do her thing so as to not spook a buck possibly lurking in the tree line. She continued to walk straight toward me, when she was about 60 yards out, she haulted, I could tell she was suddenly leary of my figure, so she stare dead at me for about 3 minutes, tail straight up, then she leveled the tail horizontally, before finally dropping her tail and her head down to procede to graze. Regretfully, no buck ever appeared behind her, so I decided to move on, frightening her to death!!! Yes, I am still laughing about that one, as well!So I give this company SERIOUS kuddos for this product!! I wish I had it the past 20 years! It is no joke, it made a noticeable improvement on my hunt, is super effective on wildlife (can not say how it will work on people), it is built well, and I believe the price is more than fair.Thank you for creating this suit! I plan to order the green one, and get a set for my daughter!

Ordered this suit primarily for bow hunting deer and am very happy with the purchase. I already own a similar camo suit from another manufacturer and while the camo pattern on my existing suit works well I was looking for a suit with a darker pattern that would be a better match for the fall/autumn woods I hunt. When I saw this suit the pattern looked perfect, the reviews were good so I went ahead and ordered it. I'm 5' 10" tall, wear a 30" inseam on pants with a 36" inch waist and wear an XL jacket so I ordered this suit in size XL. As soon as I received this suit today I dressed in the hunting clothing I usually wear and tried this suit on..... it fit perfectly. Leg length was perfect, jacket sleeve length and overall fit was perfect and the suit fits perfectly over my hunting clothes and gives me plenty of room to freely move about. I'll have to get used to the zipper being on the opposite side but it's no big deal as the zipper works very smoothly. I also really like the fact that the 3D leaves are not sewn on close to the zipper so it's very easy to use the zipper and you don't really have to worry about catching any of the leaves when zippering the jacket. The elastic cinch band at the top of the pants works well and keeps the pants securely in place and very comfortable as does the elastic band at the bottom of each pants leg and each jacket sleeve. The camo pattern is exactly what I was looking for and is an absolute perfect match for the fall/autumn woods I hunt in. The leaves appear to be sewn on very securely and the number of leaves sewn onto the pants and jacket is very abundant and gives the entire suit an extremely effective appearance. The fabric/mesh of the suit is lightweight but it appears strong enough to handle traveling through the woods. I don't know how it would handle busting through briar patches or real thorny areas, but I don't plan on putting it through such conditions anyway. I am hunting basically open woodlands and this suit will work just fine. The suit being lightweight is also nice because wearing the suit will not cause you to get overheated while you are wearing this suit over your hunting clothes. Just dress like you would according to the temperature outside then put this suit over your clothing. Wearing the suit will not make you warmer than you want to be. This will be a definite plus for me when I'm hunting the early part of our bow hunting season when the weather is very warm. I'm very impressed with this suit and will probably wind up ordering at least one of the other camo patterns for different hunting areas/conditions. I'm very happy with my purchase and can't wait to get in the woods tomorrow morning wearing this camo suit.November 30, 2016: Follow-up remarks: Ok, I've bow hunted with this suit several times now and it's fantastic. It performed very well in the woods, gave me complete freedom of movement, didn't snag on foliage and I've routinely had deer walk within 15 yards of me and they never knew I was there. Wound up harvesting a big bodied 6 pointer at 15 yards as he calmly walked right past me offering a perfect broadside shot. I plan on buying additional suits in the other colors for different seasons and locations.

Had been looking for a mostly green leafy suit for turkey season. Lots of large cut leaves to break up your outline. I’m not a small guy (5’10”, 230lbs). The XL/XXL fit quite comfortably with plenty of room to layer underneath if necessary. Previous reviews mentioned a bright, single color zipper that stood out. Obviously Arcturus listened as my zipper material came in camouflage. Wore this the morning after delivery and I must say I am quite happy with it. Looks good, doesn’t pick up leaves or other debris, light weight (I wore shorts and a T-shirt underneath for temps ranging from the 60’s to the 80’s and was comfortable). Negatives? Be careful while zipping or unzipping as you will catch “leaves”. The hood drawstring leaves something to be desired but I’ll probably just remove it as I don’t anticipate a need for it. Overall, the quality appears to be quite good. I don’t think you can go wrong especially at this price point. I’m already thinking of purchasing a fall brown suit to mix and match for early to late turkey season!

Got my suit and tried it on fits perfect. There is no shine to it, no rips or missing leafs. Only down side is the zipper will get caught on the leafy material when zipping and unzipping. Other then that I can’t wait to use it, plenty of leafy material to hide a person. Would be five star if not for the zipper.

Suit has stood up to multiple washes after an extremely muddy hunting season... I'm usually pretty Harsh on gear, but this has stood up to my torture tests. Washes up very well with Scent away detergent. Flaps of the camouflage like to get caught in the zipper, Go slow , and even when they do get caught usually pretty easy to get it back out. Very Pleased, I would not hesitate to order again.

Looks great in dead fall natural blind. M/L fits over spring/fall thermal gear.

I have had a lot of different leafy wear suits for hunting. This one has definitely been the best. Maybe a little shiney in the sun but I haven’t found one that wasn't. Lots of leaves all over not just a few strips. Sizing is good. Very happy with my purchase.
