Alright, I bought this for my husband almost 6 years ago when he was wearing a beard. It was apparently only a phase, he's been clean-shaven for years now, and I forgot about this device until I recently found it buried in my closet. I decided to try it as a straightening brush for my hair, and am pleased to say that it works well. The unit itself is simple; plug into the wall, click the only button on it until it's flashing one of the four heat settings, let it warm up for a minute or two and go. The nubs at the ends of the bristles do not transfer any heat, so I brush the whole way to my scalp without any discomfort. Watch it when brushing the underside of the hair, though, the top of the brush head does get hot like any other curler/straightener.I have thick, below shoulder length, curly, coarse hair (it's a mix of curl patterns ranging from 3B to 4A) and I used this on the highest setting after drying my hair first with heat protectant. I used a volumizing brush dryer (the Revlon one has been all over Tiktok and Buzz Feed) and it gets my hair straight, but it's still frizzy no matter what heat protectant or serum I put in it first. I used this beard straightener on the highest heat setting and brushed it through with slow passes and my hair was straighter, but more importantly much smoother. Very happy with this, the smaller size still gets the job done in only a few minutes, and it would work on shorter hair, too. I would buy this again.

I was skeptical at first, as I have seen offers for other beard brushes like this. My beard can be wirey and hard to manage. I went ahead and gave this brush a try. Man, I’m simply astounded how well this thing WORKS. It’s easy to use, I run my temperature a bit lower than the “long beard” setting. I stick to 375 and it’s thoroughly straightens my beard! It also makes it feel very soft and sleek. Gentlemen, I’m onlyGonna tell you this one time…. Buy it! It won’t disappoint you at all. It works on your beard if it’s dryOr just out of the shower and towel damp. Boom. Straightness. Smooth. Soft. Great design!

My beard has gotten long enough (6-7") that a boar hair brush and balm alone cannot tame it. This is absolutely what I needed, combining this with balm and a good circular brush works great and the various heat settings are nice. If I set to a correct low-med temp, some waviness can be kept in the beard without fully straightening it. The anti-burn works but isn't perfect when you're angling it to get hairs closer to the skin like sideburns, but I think that's the nature of a beard straightener. Being able to have a longer beard and not look unkempt for $30 is really nice.The main notable problem is that the temp isn't always accurate. For example, I can set it to 300, leave it be for 5-10 minutes, and then set it to 320 only to see it dropping from 350 to reach the desire 320. For me this can be annoying because I don't want a ruler straight beard, for others with thinner, more brittle hair this would be a great concern. I typically just try to double check it's at the temp I need it before I use it.

This has been such a great buy! I have a long, thick, coarse, curly beard, and live in the hot humid south. Using this brush keeps the knots away and is a must in the morning.I've had this for about 3 1/2 years now, and am about to buy a replacement. It still works great, but after all this time a few of the tips have broken off the heating elements. Considering that I only use it on 450°F, I'm honestly surprised it lasted this long. Can't beat the price!

I purchased this yesterday and received it today. This is my first use out of the box, and it's amazing. I'm new to the beard thing and have no clue what I'm doing other than following information online. I'd describe my facial hair as wiry, coarse, and unmanageable. I usually end up keeping it short because of that, but I am now trying to grow it out.Which is where the straightener comes in. I decided to purchase it after searching online and found it on the list in multiple search results. It looks and performs as advertised. I put the setting on the highest setting (475 degrees), and it gets hot quickly (about 2-3 minutes), and it didn't scald my face or burn the hair. I used it slowly (3-5 seconds from top to bottom), beginning with the left side to compare & contrast, and started from my sideburns down to the bottom of the beard and worked my way to the front. In total, I spent about 5-10 minutes repeating it. I then used it on the right side.For the first time, my beard is noticeably more straight and smoother than I've felt before. As I'm still a novice at growing a beard, the straightener seemed to work like magic. I can't believe how quickly it worked.I absolutely love this straightener and am thankful for it - especially my beard.

It worked great. I’ve had it for 6months and the heating element seems to not be getting as hot.

I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to buy and give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was for my husband to grip it and use. It’s not heavy, easy to hold and has a durable feel. It was mainly purchased for his beard and he loves using it. He is able to brush through it to style with out it looking flat and doesn’t burn his hair like the flat iron did. Then I decided to try it and also found it easy to use as well and was able to tame my grays while keeping the body. It’s like brushing my hair and I can use it even when it’s still a little damp. We can select the temperature that works best for each of us and it heats up fast! When we first plugged it in, there was a warm plastic smell which has gone away over time with use. The cord swivels so it doesn’t get twisted up and has a loop to hang it up out of the way when not in use. Before and after pics provided.

I like it the durability. It works on long african American beards. I use it once or twice every 2 weeks. I can tell it straightening my beard as it get longer to keep it from being tangled.
