Exactly what I expected
This topper does exactly what it is supposed to do- draw body heat away from the body rather than retaining it as the older memory foam toppers do. I slept on a 4 inch memory foam topper for around 15 years. After that amount of time, it became so soft that turning over in my sleep was difficult and uncomfortable. The body heat it retained made for wet, sweaty nights even in winter. But I need it for comfort due to aches and pains.I researched new toppers and discovered that the gel-infused ones lack durability/longevity. This one with the copper infused upper layer is durable just like my old one. It’s a super upgrade. It reduced the body heat retention by at least 75% and is soft enough to relieve pressure points, yet firm enough that I can roll any direction without being sucked into an immobilizing pit like the old one did.It does exactly what it’s supposed to do- draw the heat away from you. It’s not designed to cool you off, it’s designed to keep the memory foam from retaining your body heat and sweating you out. It’s super comfortable and I love it. Very happy with my purchase. I don’t think the thinner ones would provide a comparable comfort level- probably would bottom out.

Not Just a Cool Topper
You'll want do to snow angels on this topper. The cover is surprisingly soft, cool and luxurious with a nice pearly texture. The topper has just the right mix of softness and support while not being too thick.Originally, I was looking for a mattress topper that would help me sleep without waking up with back pain (which I've had for over 10 years). I've tried all kinds of toppers from 1.5" to 8" inch of pure memory and hybrid foams. After trying this one skeptically for at least a week, I can say it feels better than some 5-star hotel mattresses and does help relieve pain. That alone was worth getting it.I was hoping it would feel cooler than the gel-infused one I have in the other room. I could tell from the first touch, that drift fabric makes a difference. Just for fun, I laid on both for a few minutes to compare. Funny thing, I wanted to go back to the Viscosoft after a minute on the gel-infused. The real proof was waking up to a nice temperature rather than an oven. The straps and the bottom keep it in place and are easy to put on. I used to have to wrap toppers with bed covers or readjust them every week...not this one. This is my first time trying copper infused foam with an active cooling cover. I'll have to see the difference it makes in preventing sagging, odors or staining over time. So far, this is one of the best toppers I've had.

Great sleep
This mattress pad really changed the comfort level of our mattress, and we are sleeping much better now, with less joint pain and deeper sleep. It really does work. One issue -- it comes with a cover but the cover really doesn't stay on and only fits the pad itself. We ended up not using it.

Bought it because it says it's cooling--it's not any cooler.
It's okay. Adds a bit of firmish softness to the mattress that was getting too hard. Was hoping it would be cooler, but it's not. Slips a bit--have to adjust it every night so it won't hang over the edge of the mattress.

Not worth it and impossible to return
Was supposed to be cooling, but it ended up being warmer than not having it. Wasn't very comfortable, and tended to roll you towards the middle. But the biggest turn-off was the return process. It is not humanly possible to get the topper back in the box it came in. When I asked customer service how to do it, I got "just use some ropes". Ended up having to buy gigantic boxes and it was still a PIA. Without a legit return process, don't bother buying unless you're 100% sure you want it.

ViscoSoft 4-Inch Active Cooling Memory Foam Mattress Topper Queen
UPDATE: I've been using this mattress topper for over 1 year now, here is my impression. The "Drift cover" will shrink a bit, if you use hot water to wash it. It does re-expand? after some time. I wash it about every 2 weeks, and it holds up as I would expect. It does collect those pesky lint pills on it. I did notice today a 5" crack or split, forming on the top side of the foam part, I'm not sure that it means much, it's only about .5" deep, but will contact the company to inquire.Overall impressions; This topper was worth the money spent on it. I get rest and relaxation every single day, and during the lockdown, I spent almost every day laying on it. It hasn't done anything "funny", or diminished my faith in my purchase.I've only had this mattress topper for a few days. It only took about 1 hour? to expand. Had to call the Company to find out that the "blue side" goes down and the "cream side" faces up. I still don't understand the "drift cover". When I change my sheets again next week I'll attempt to see why the "drift cover" doesn't encompass the topper instead of just sitting on top of the foam. It's very comfortable. Being on "lockdown" is made way more appealing now. I don't want to get out of my bed, and that's a good thing 😂

Full night's sleep
This topper is easily the best I've ever purchased.1. It is cooling - yeah, this is a big deal for me and it really works.2. It was easy to install - The only tip I would have is to lay out the cover, unzipped, first before letting the cover expand essentially inside it. Either way, it too like than 10 minutes to install.3. Super comfy - I have a problem with hypnic jerks (regular, uncontrolled twitches/jerks when falling asleep at night and even after asleep_. This has been problematic for my wife who gets woken up at the same time. It hasn't been a problem since I got the topper. I still have the jerks, but they don't affect her as much as the topper does a good job of localizing the disruption.Overall, I have been super impressed. It is like a whole new bed.Oh, one other thing. If you already have a deep mattress, you are going to want to drop an extra $20 bucks on some sheet suspenders to hold everything in place as the extra 4 inches of height can put you over the limit.

If looking for firm support this is not it!
I never write reviews but I wanted to share so you don’t make the same mistake! The product is high quality but it is not firm and not at all what I was looking for. I was looking for something firmer to provide support for my hips as I have hip pain. It is too soft, dips too far in the middle and is actually difficult to get in and out of. Very little support. I am disappointed that it was not what I was expecting.
