Easy to understand overview of Hormones for average people who are concerned about their health
This book has been out for a while, but it is still a nice overview of hormones and their relationship to health. It covers topics that most people don't learn about until they experience a health issue. I have handed my copy to numerous friends and family members to help them understand what going on. For what it's worth, Dr. Issacs has a blog on his clinic's website which also has some interesting information on it as well.

Poor Kindle translation (FIXED!!)
Update: After posting this review, you can see below that Dr. Isaacs and Bull publishing reached out to me. Within days (DAYS!) Claire at Bull had contacted me, asked a handful of questions and fixed the Kindle edition. We re-downloaded the file and everything works as it should. It looks great on my 3g kindle with the keyboard. The book was always a good book- no doubt about that. But now the kindle edition is great as well and just as importantly, the company behind this book is fantastic. When I publish, I hope my company is even half this good. Thank you, Dr. Isaacs and thank you, Bull publishing! This is how you earn business for the long term. Thanks so much!This book is great. I'm sure the print version is excellent. The translation to Kindle is terrible. There are an assortment of charts and lists in the book that are poorly laid out and not located where they need to be. They are randomly scattered through the book, many pages misplaced, and generally just broken.The information and the concepts in the book are excellent but when turned into a kindle document, it was done quite poorly.

I like Hormonal Balace
I wanted to know a little bit about hormonal changes, this book is very good on my opinion, a little technical and maybe a bit boring for me, I'm not that smart, but I think is a good book to get knowledge on how to keep healthy and balance specially that your hormones play a big part on been healthy, I learned many things that I was looking for in this book, I appreciate it very much. but I love what I'm finding
I've only just begun to dive into this book, but I love what I'm finding. I'm very particular about books like this, I want legitimate research to back claims of this nature. The bibliography included with the book provides chapter by chapter evidence of peer reviewed research publications. The information shared in this book builds on itself as you progress with the author taking you through the basics, then expounding from there. The research makes sense, the suggestions and tips are easy to follow, the meal plan is simple with recipes included that fit an everyday lifestyle, and excellent resources are provided for additional information or tools. I've already recommended the book to a friend and not just because it offers weight loss, but because it offers an understanding of your body in a way that puts you in control of how you feel.

Everything you ever wanted to know about your hormones and some things you didn't.
Isaacs obviously knows his stuff. Everyone, male, female, young and old should read this book. It's just packed full of great information. Hormones are not just for menopausal women. I had about 25 pounds to lose and couldn't seem to get it off. I started the eating plan in the book and lost 8 pounds the first week and I didn't count one calorie. I wasn't hungry either.This isn't a quick weight loss gimmick. It's a good solid medically based approach to understanding how hormones operate and how your lifestyle could be working against you.

Very useful, a little technical sometimes and too much on ...
I recently had a complete hysterectomy, so this book taught me a lot. Very useful, a little technical sometimes and too much on certain medications. I found a lot of spelling mistakes and that's unforgivable to me.....but all in all, definitely a recommended book, that helps you learn a lot. Before starting a diet or exercise program, first have a complete hormonal test, otherwise all work may be in vain!

Hormonal Balance
Dr Issacs is spot on, it is a permanent lifestyle change and everything hormonal. He knows his field well. Enjoying this book and this is answering my questions so many questions others doctors were afraid to address or mention until they see improvements and progress in my tiny goals. Will be a permanent reference in this household. Wondering what progress October 2013 brings.

Not as good as I expected wtih all the hipe.
There are a lot of things that are scientifically out of date, and a lot of stuff I already knew; but it has some redeeming qualities too. Not a complete loss.

Comprehensive
This book informs the reader about all forms of hormone problems. It is easy to read and understand. As it covers so many issues it is a good book to start with before progressing onto selective health books like thyroid, adrenal fatigue, pcos etc.

Very helpful
very easy to read, not patronising at all. Love the little 'help boxes' so I dont have to try and remember where I read something. Would highly recommend.
