Good lightweight walking sock or thick everyday sock. Thick loop pile on toe, sole and heel. Thinner material in body so maybe not for sub-zero temperatures but does give low bulk as does the “waisted” design. Well-made toe seam. The (inevitable!) patchwork design gives cut thread “tails” inside the sock but I don’t see these as a problem. My packaging says XXL for UK 10-12. Material composition matches the webpage. So, I’d expect UK10 after washing. Comfy now on my 9.5 feet. I doubt that a UK12 would be happy. Stretchy fabric. I do a lot of mountain walking.

I now have 6 pairs of these socks, they were perfect for our recent long hikes and hill climbing up in the Lake District, very comfortable inside my hiking boots.Would recommend these socks for foot comfort on walks over level and multi terrain routes.

So i bought a three pack of these Yuedge socks.....yes i have seen all the other good reviews and the ones showing heel sections coming off.....here is my personal experience with the sock....I do serious walking as training for a 800 km walk over a mountain range....i walk about ten miles every evening often with between 6 and 15 kg in weight on my back so these socks are being really tested....the more weight you carry the heavier the sock is tested inside your boot naturally.....When i very first put a pair of the socks on i was blown away by how smooth, comfortable and cosy they feel.....they actually feel like a slipper to feel. I checked the inside of the socks and the stitching was fine....they are warm and seem to breathe okay in goretex/leather boots....i washed all 3 pairs at 30 degrees the other day and was surprised they seem to shrink a little in a wash...yet when i put them on again they aren't any tighter and stretched back to normal it appears....On really nerdy closer inspection after a few walks i can see there is a little burring of the fabric on the back of the heel and near the toes.....most likely from where my foot is making can slightly rub from the boots sometimes...The only reason why i have given this product 4 stars and not 5 is because i cant be 100 percent sure how long they will endure....yet as of yet and being worn with a heavy rucksack on my back and ankle high boots they seem to be doing okay......even if you never wear these for hiking....they are by far the most cosy socks i've ever bought in my life....you will be surprised how seriously comfortable they are.....If these give me a good 6 months at least i will definitely get more of them....

The size indicated is much smaller than it should be.The size value needs to be reappraised.

Excellent quality socks but I need to tuck in my trouser bottoms when walking the dog in muddy conditions.The legs are a Little short for this.

Grandson used for serious hill walking no blisters great.

I bought these to use during golf round as I had a light blister. I was able to walk without any pain.
