Great explanations for young inquisitive minds!
Bought this book for my very inquisitive four and five year old sons. They have endless questions about everything and this book helps to answer more than a few of them. Would definitely recommend this book for the younger kiddos!

Be aware
My kids (7 and 5) and I liked the book, although the explanations are very short, but it got us started to talk over different subjects. But when I read this today, I was disappointed: "scientists can improve seeds so that they grow into stronger, healthier plants. This helps farmers grow bigger and better crops."What is the need for this statement. This is definitely not a topic I want to explain to a 5 year old child. The topic is much to difficult for my opinion, but I cannot let this sentence stand as it is written. And I don't like my first grader read such a sentence alone and take this for a fact without knowing about the use of herbicide and plants being poisonous for insects and all the other things that make this topic so difficult. So if the statement is your opinion, fine, you get a book with short explanations which may satisfy younger kids. But if you thing the GMO topic is not that simple, don't buy this book.
