Hermle70504-000701 Antique Style Wall Clock with Skeleton Movement and Strikes on The Hour

I love the look and it's been running perfectly for about 6 months now. With a little patience in adjusting the pendulum, this clock can be made incredible accurate! Be aware that in order to give the weight sufficient room to drop for 8 days of running, the clock needs to be mounted quite high on the wall. At least 6 feet. Or just mount it lower and raise the weight more frequently. Great quality. One critique: the Tempus Fugit sticker looks cheap. They should either improve it or leave it off!

I bought this as a gift. The recipient, an engineer loves it. Very accurate time keeping. Has a great industrial style. Bell has a nice ring not too loud. Came well packaged in fine condition. One word of warning, there are instructions on how to unpack the clock so as not to damage it. Great mechanical clock. Unique.

I highly recommend this item. I'm a bit of a clock collector and just love the look and basic functionality of this clock. The clock is extremely well made, is very accurate (now), and is very satisfying to watch in action. The chime on the hour is beautiful and very delicate. As a side note on accuracy: the clock was fairly accurate out of the box, but I have been adjusting daily referencing on an atomic clock I have in the house, and now, the clock is accurate to within a few seconds per day. Incredible accuracy.

Stylish, easily hung, pleasant hourly chime and ticking sound from a genuine mechanical clock.If you find your clock running slow or fast try adjusting the little nob on the pendulum. Youtube it.The chime can made to be louder or softer by adjusting the bell. Really nice clock overall.

I often recall when I visited my Grandmother I was mesmerized by her grandfather clock. I wanted one but cant afford to pay 19,000 for a clock -so I bought this one. Shipping was quick and so was the setup. I love watching the movement and hope I have years of service with it- If you buy this unit, you wont regret, plus its made in Germany as well

Ease of installation.

It looked like an elegant piece of clockwork, and in that it lives up to its promise and looks good on the wall. The tick is soothing and non-obtrusive.You need to be careful how you hang it as the weight is very weighty indeed. However, the chime just doesn't work on this timepiece. The hammer never reaches the bell. This part is either poorly designed or poorly assembled. I solved the problem by extending the hammer with a penny and a paperclip, but it would have been better had it worked as advertised in the first place. On the whole I'm happy with it, the elegance makes up for the design flaws, but really... advertising a mute chiming clock? Not good.

Lovely clock with gentle tick tock and pleasant chime every hour. Would have been nice If it chimed to indicate the number of hours rather than just once. Very happy and very reasonably priced.

This replaced a 20 year old almost identical clock which gave up the ghost. The new one is of equal quality, although the on-hour chime is more delicate, keeps excellent time and looks lovely.

Piccolo, discreto, tiene compagnia con il suo ticchettio.Interamente realizzato in metallo, e abbastanza preciso dopo alcuni giorni di regolazione.Meriterebbe cinque stelle ma ci sono dei se....Se non fosse che il quadrante nella realtà è molto pie scuro dell'immagine con il risultato che le lancette nere non si vedono.La confezione del produttore (Hermle) lascia a desiderare. Il peso in ghisa non è adeguatamente fissato e nel trasporto si stacca urtando l'orologio.Lo restituisco, ma solo per acquistarne uno con quadrante bianco.

Arrived on the first day of the time period quoted. A well made and attractive clock. Bought to go into a grandmother clock carcase made by my son at school. Local clock makers said they couldn't do anything but this fits the bill exactly and really enhances the cabinet.
