The helping hands are very helpful! The base is thick and sturdy and the magnets on the base of each arm makes it possible to adjust to whatever your needs. There's no bounce back on the arms as well which is a big plus if you've ever used some of the cheapo ones which move once you've aligned them. The silicone ends to the hands are also great for delicate work on PCBs. It's an expensive item but you can see the money goes into the product and not a fatter profit margin.The highlight of the whole thing though was the thank you card from the CEO which came in the box with a picture of him and his dog, lovely touch. Also I think it would look great with a white base if you ever expand the range!

I had my doubts but I tied anyway. And this thing is excellent :)The finition is perfect, with very good materials in use. The base is VERY heavy despite its size, makes it very stable. The magnets power is surprisingly adequate, you can't just knock them easily.No, really a simple but very good product. And only the bottom of the arms is magnetic, the magnetism is not perceptible on the arms themselves or the insulated alligator clips (some silicon or rubber on them), so no worries with components sensitive to magnetism.

It’s not the cheapest but worth the price. Solid build, sturdy and the arms are excellent. No bending unless you try to hold a silly weight. 1 short and 2 long arms can be positioned anywhere on the board and they don’t move. I was initially sceptical but extremely pleased with my purchase.

Lovely quality, hardly surprising, made in America where they build quality. Nice and stable, heavy with strong magnets.

This is a quality product. The components are of great quality also. I particularly liked the packaging and note inside, great attention to detail.

Adhesive feet don’t stay on…..Base has paint chips….Meant to be delivered from USA but only took 3 days to arrive, no better than the Chinese versions but three times the price….don’t waste your money

Very handy aid. Not like a vice on a bench but not expected. Very strong magnets and heavier than expected (which is good), so very stable

I found these to work very well to hold wires and connector for soldering. The magnets are strong enough and the goose neck are flexible but allow to put some pressure between part for good contact. The extra arms can be used to keep wires out of the way or to hold the wire straight and avoid drooping when soldering heavy gage wires. Although the alligator clip are as large as they come and will hold something at least 1/4", it would make this wonderful tool even more versatile if they offered some sort of optional clip or clamp with an even greater opening capacity. After fiddling with a rigid articulated holder for years, I can't overstate my appreciation for this product.

Producto de calidad, robusto y bien diseñado . Sin el cual segun que trabajos serian muy complicados de llevar a termino. Simplemente esperar que los flexos duren mucho tiempo que es lo que mas desgaste pueda tener. No es barato, pero la calidad tiene su precio. Satisfecho con la adquisicion.

After viewing a variety of similar, but not even close in design, devices for use when soldering, I decided to buy this as it seemed like the most useful, best thought-out, versatile design and after just one use soldering very small wires I knew I had made the right choice! The two different heights for the alligator clips gives this a really practical versatility that isn't available in any other design. Then add to that the solid, nicely-weighted yellow base to which each of the four solidly-built, goose-neck, magnetic-based arms can be placed allowing them infinite placement in any configuration needed and this becomes the best choice for holding small parts/items for soldering, gluing, detail painting, and the list goes on. Look past the higher price compared to other designs because this is worth every penny! I took the offer included with the item when it arrived to get free silicone sleeves to cover the teeth of the alligator clips to protect delicate items and I was contacted within an hour that they would be sent immediately. Great customer service on top of a great design and construction! It also collapses and stores compactly in the box it arrived in making it easy to store between projects.
