One stalk needed extra help to screw into base - still a good idea

They are easy to store out the way and put in the best place as and when required. Reasonable length, would have preferred a bit longer but for soldering small pcbs it does what i want. The armon the side would be much better if it were a bit longer as it is just too short to reach over and on to the desk properly. It is still handy but could be better

I purchased this to replace an old helping hands set that was starting to fall apart and to be honest wasn't most stable of things even when new.This helping hands set clamps to a desk and is rock-solid, the five arms provide a lot of options for holding components and the dimmable USB powered light provides excellent illumination of the item being worked on. The LED lights are also housed in a ring around the magnifying glass which results in fewer shadows and less obstructions when accessing work and the lens itself provides a good level of magnification.This isn't the cheapest helping hands set you can buy but the materials used seem to be of a good quality and its far more robust (and stable) than the cheap helping hand set it has replaced.One small thing is that the magnifying lens on my kit has a slight imperfection where it hasn't been polished properly (or has been splashed by a solvent during manufacture) its very small and is right by the edge of the lens where it it joins the housing of the lamp so it doesn't interfere with operation and you can't really notice it when working on things, still a bit of a shame though given the cost of the product but its only minor defect so I decided to let it go.Overall, a very sturdy and well made helping hands set with some really nice design features, its proved to be really useful on lots of occasions since being purchased and I'd happily recommend it.

Awesome little device for electronics people for people soldering things. It has four bendy arms with a clip on each end so you can hold wires in place whilst you solder them. These are so cool, the arms bend into all different positions and the clips on the end are insulted, and are also strong clips.Very easy to build, comes with the all the tools, spanner and an allen key to assemble the kit, it can be assembled in two ways putting the light in different places on the table mounting block.The ring led is super bright but the brightness can be changed as can the temperature of the light colour using the switch on the USB cable. It has a magnifying glass in the middle which is super handy for viewing up close small circuit work.Brilliant device, glad I bought it now, makes soldering wires and other components so much easier and less messier now. I wish I bought this ages ago now. Only issue is that the arms bend into place and sometimes they start to bend back out of shape. Otherwise it’s perfect.

Finally a decent product for all soldering jobs, my old one fell to bits and the teeth on the clips used to almost damage the wires. This doesn’t happen with this as it’s got great little rubber pieces on the clips to stop that happening. Nice sturdy bit of kit

Use this for macro photography, can't fault it, very well made.

I use this to hold on to my patterns when I cross stitch, and it is great being able to manoeuvre them around . It makes my stitching faster and less stressful as I don't have to keep lifting my pattern up to check it.

The media could not be loaded.  I spent a long time searching for an ideal electronics clamp. and am very happy with the results. it's very solid material. The magnifying glass is perfect despite I anticipate it would be small, in real effect it is not. The light mode is a real bonus and it's great to have a mount for my soldering iron.

Easy to use, with 4 grips you can hold at any angle. Nice and heavy so very stable. Recommended.

Overall quality looks good. A heavy-weight base. One arm could not be attached as it does not have a screw thread tapped into it. Was going to return it, however, bought it for £19.99. Now a few days later, the price has jumped to £34.99. As I am not going to reorder one at £34.99, I will fix the defect myself.

These helping hands are great! The arms are easily positioned and the light is more than bright enough. The magnifier makes working on smaller things a breeze. Having the whole thing clamped onto my desk is a massive plus! The only problem I have encountered is with how the hands attach to the arms. The screws tend to warp the metal, which makes them loose over time. Put something solid in there and it's not a problem though.

An excellent piece of kit very useful and works well. If you want me to be picky, then there are only 2 things to say. 1). It is supplied with a large allen screw to bolt the main unit to the bench clap but no allen key to suit and its much bigger than any Ive got in my tool box. I managed to find an alternative but the correct one would have been useful. 2). In the box were 2 thin rubber washers but no explanation as to where they were supposed to go. Minor niggles really as the unit itself is good.
