Making Concrete Countertops with Buddy Rhodes: Advanced Techniques

Some great new stuff but it only compliments the original.Again, no "secret formulas" or tips on creating your own from scratch...a must if you don't live Stateside where you can get Buddy Rhodes gear.Undoubtedly impressed by the vertical/shaped casting techniques but would have preferred more hints and tips on countertops than the planter boxes etc.....Overall a good supplement to his first book but not much "meat and potatoes" if you're only focus is advancing your countertops skills.....

I was extremely disappointed with this book. I bought it in hopes of gaining some knowledge about GFRC mix design for counter tops. But the entire book is nothing more than what amounts to a picture scrapbook of one particular project. Worse still the great majority of the book is about form building. Not so much about concrete. If GFRC is your interest save your money. You are better off spending your time extracting free information on the internet and YouTube.

This book only dealt with one project that I would not have made. The pictures were good. If there had been more how to with concrete basics it would have been a very good book of information. I was very disappointed. Wanted a more detail on basics.

Buddy Rhodes is one of the pioneers in artisan concrete, and I refer to this book to understand the fundamentals or form making.

Just as described. Good product at a good price. Highly recommend.

Great book---if you want to do it right - do it like Buddy!! You can not go wrong with allof the information in here!

Buddy Rhodes is a living legend in the concrete world - this book is worth twice the cost. BUY IT!
