Nope...
This is not a corset. It's a costume top best suited for petite girls. I will say it looked like the product pictures and the detailing on the fabric was very pretty. Everything else is thumbs down for me. I'm 5'6", 36D, 40" bust, 33" waist, 42" hips, hourglass shape. (I don't have the top tightened in my pictures. I knew I'd be returning it and didn't want to redo the ribbons or damage the loops.) The biggest problem is the length. TIt's very short, so the waist doesn't fall in the right spot for me. It throws off the entire fit. The cups are pretty flat. Instead of cupping, lifting, and giving your girls a nice plump, shapely look, the flat cup padding smashes your girls down in an unflattering way and gives you a weird looking side profile. The ribbon is too silky and loosens up, the back didn't come laced properly (corset backs should be pulled and tied from the center, NOT the top) and the ribbon's loops on the back and sides didn't seem sturdy enough to achieve a good corset pull. I didn't think about it at the time, but the open sides aren't a good idea. Again, the loops seem like they'd break without re-braiding the ribbon for a more even weight distribution. The open design also affects how the fit is in the back. Tightening the sides unevenly top to bottom or side to side, gives a lopsided fit and the fabric doesn't lay properly. Pulling it tightly in the back (like a corset is supposed to be) stresses those side openings. Not having the top tight enough means it isn't keeping your girls in and 1 wrong move has them spilling out or a ni p slip at the least. The lack of a cup gives a lack of containment. Oy. This top is too much work (especially by yourself) when you have to keep adjusting it to a natural waist curve like mine. The "bustled" fabric on the sides is cut too small. It sits awkwardly bubbled and crooked instead of having a nice up and over the hips flow. The lace at the top isn't stiff/thick enough to stand up. It flops over. Starching it would help, but the manufacturer should've used the correct lace to begin with. The look and style is good in theory, but limiting as far as who it will properly fit.If you are a small chested girl that isn't trying to achieve a cinched waist look, then this top is for you. If you have a chest, curves, or a round stomach and you're trying to accent your natural shape or achieve a cinched waist, this top is not for you.

Excellent for my Dragon costume in Shrek
This corset was great for what I needed it for- a costume. I was the dragon in a production of Shrek the musical, and I needed something I could easily put on and take off- but looked like a corset. I also loved how this was a "longer" corset and how it had lace on top and fabric on the sides to cover up the hips- making it acceptable as a top in a family show. With the sides being open (and heaven forbid it came undone), I wore a tank top underneath. The quality is wonderful for the price- however I would not call it a "corset", since you cannot tighten the strings enough for much "boostage" as the strings are just through lace fabric. Also, I did not like how the bottom in the back kind of "flips" up like a tail when tightened. There also was A LOT of extra string- which I would accidentally pull when reaching for the string to open my wings. The sizing is also a bit crazy... I am NOT a 5X... I wear a 12/14... but this company thinks so. I probably could have gotten a 4X since I was tightened almost all the way in the back... but it definitely served its purpose! Also know that the side fabric doesn't lay like the picture (I wanted that long draping look) but instead gave the look of 18th century or saloon hips. Know that the front fasteners sometimes were tricky (especially with fast changes) and actually tore my tank top when the fabric got caught in the metal closure. I probably could have gone without a shirt underneath (I didn't see any gap) but I wanted to be safe. This sure gave me the look I wanted!

Beautiful!
Not sure I liked the ruffles at the top cause it hid my very small boobs lol. Other then that I loved it!

Great costume, comfortable for movement.
This is a fun costume. Is it not a boned corset which I felt made it a good costume for dancing. Based on the sizing advised by the sellers I ordered a Large which fit with some extra give. I am 5'4"and 115lbs, my chest is 32", my waist is 27.5", my hips are 32" /35" around my butt. I am not curvy. The side ribbons didn't cut into me at all and I could potentially have gotten a medium (especially due to my small breasts. Victoria Secret sizing puts my in a 32C but anything else I wear a 32/34B) Lager breasts may be more at risk for slip outs in this strapless top. My friend felt more secure by adding a couple of ribbons as halter straps.

Good quality, difficulty finding size
I’m 5’9, 155 lbs, 38DDD, wear a Medium shirt if I’m looking for a snug fit, a Large for a casual fit, a little extra gobble goo in the mid section but nothing a nice corset can’t hold in.I think I ordered XXL in this and I couldn’t get it to close. There were maybe 4-5 inches to go before it would. Loosened the ties for a possible miracle... nope. Just nope. Not even sure where to go from there. Up 2 sizes? 3? I returned and just tried a different style. If you do manage to get your size, it’s a beautiful piece with lots of detailing.

A better reference for sizing issues. I used large.
Product was just like the picture. Very pretty, the tails were a bit shorter on mine and were more rounded then hangy like the picture. A bit dissapointed in that. All in all a good product. No boning in it so you'll have to use something else underneath for that type of support if you want or need it. That might possibly change the sizing a bit as well if you do that, but the drawstring should fix that easily. So onto the sizing matter. I have included pictures because through every review I didn't notice not even one that included a tape measure! The first two are of my waist. 28-27. That's a large according to the chart. The large starts at about 28" and can stretch to about 30" the bust goes all the way to around 33" and there is about a 5 - 5.6" area where the drawstring is to play around with for fit and size. I did notice that when it gathers to draw it in that the bottom scrunched up and lifts up the bottom where the tails meet-the seem. I'm debating on trying a medium for comparison. Hope this helped.

Pretty but not great for curvy ladies.
I found this to be not great at all for a curvy lady like myself. There are openings down the sides which I didn't see on the picture and once you put it on, unless you're beautifully slender, this isn't particularly flattering. I returned it and the seller happily refunded my money without any hassle at all so if you're unsure.. buy it and see for yourself. Great seller but not a great outfit in my case.

Beautiful design
This corset is lovely and fits okay. The only thing I will say is that it is a bit baggy and doesn't really have a solid body/structure to it since it has no bones. However it still looks beautiful and is comfortable.

Burlesque costume.... Sorted!
Lovely, made well & flattering. The only problem is the fastening catches, not very secure, easy to come undone which could be embarrassing!!!

Very nice
Very nice, but unfortunately will have to send it back and reorder, due to being too small

which was good, but the picture doesn't show you that there ...
Arrived exactly on time, which was good, but the picture doesn't show you that there are two diamond shaped wholes on either side (with corset lacing in them), and the draped bits of fabric don't hang nicely like shown in the picture, they stick out really far and look kinda tacky in my opinion.
