Makes Super Famicom games accessible, functionally and financially
Retro games in the US have become a racket for various reasons, so buying the Super Famicom cartridges is often a really effective workaround if you aren't just trying to make a quick buck off a retro lover. This converter has been really reliable for me.

Works - plays SNES and Famicom games.
I bought this instead of a Famicom to play Japanese Famicom games. It's cheaper than buying a Famicom on Ebay and it works. I bought a lot of games online and tested it and it does allow them to play on the SNES.It has been clamping pretty TIGHT on the inserted Famicom games (it mentions this in the manual), it takes a bit of force/prying to get them free. It ejects normally from the actual SNES, and it doesn't seem to be damaging the Famicom games so not a big deal.It does also work for SNES games (you obviously don't need to use it if you're using this for a SNES, but the option to just leave the adapter in is nice.

It works!
Worked great on Street Fighter II Turbo and DBZ Super Butoden 2. Heard of issues with games with the FX chip but I haven’t tried them yet. I’m getting great deals on Japanese Super Famicom games.

A great adapter with a minor quirk *update*
*Update* I just tried one of the newer SF carts (the ones with more than standard pins on them) and they did not work on my console. I’ve reached out to the manufacturer for help but I am concerned that these types will not work.If you ever wanted to play Super Famicom games on your SNES, this modification-free solution is a great option for you. Plug the cart adapter into the game then plug the combo into the SNES. Done.I’ve been using this a lot, sometimes even with North American carts for kicks. The adapter feels very sturdy and I haven’t had any read errors or damaged files. The carts feel fairly secure with only a bit of wobble when plugged in.The only concern I have is how tightly the cart it held. You can easily eject the adapter from your console but removing the cart from the adapter was a little scary at first. With some use, it feels safer, but you should be very careful when removing your games. As far as I can tell, the adapter works with every game in my limited collection and they’ve all played just as well as if they were in a Super Famicom.

NOT compatible with ALL games
Just throwing my hat into the ring, I should have read the reviews but I didn't understand the SNES/SFC as well as I thought. This item does NOT work on ALL games. 99% of games, sure, but if your cart has extra pins then it will not work. Games like Kirby All Star and Mario RPG have extra pins on either side of the main pin board. You can see this in the console itself, where games are inserted, there is one main chip input and two smaller onse beside it.The female side of the adapter has the same layout, takes in these inputs, but the male side only passes the MAIN pins down to the console. This means these popular games will not work.Good luck and I hope you read this before you purchase!

Works great fired up first try!
Did exactly what I needed to do if you have an American system and you want to play Japanese games I didn’t have any issues with all the ones that I played and for the price you really can’t beat it

Would be Great but not actually compatible with all games due to missing pins
As the title says, this would be great but has one fairly major flaw, which is the lack of the extra pins on either side, which some cartridges require. See my picture, you can see the adapter which doesn't have those connecting pins on the side that the other two cartridges also in the picture need.If none of your games need this (and not a lot of them do) then it's not an issue, but many games that use expansion chips (like SuperFX) need these pins, which includes Star Fox, and Super Gameboy. This is a really disappointing oversight in my opinion, since it is otherwise definitely a good device. I'm assuming it was left out to save on costs, but I would gladly pay a bit more to have those pins and it actually be compatible with all Super Famicom cartridges.
