Taste of Home Slow Cooker Throughout the Year: 495+ Family Favorite Recipes (Taste of Home Comfort Food)

This is a great compilation of slow-cooker recipes, compiled from submissions by home cooks, to Taste of Home magazine. The only negative for me is the way the book is segmented by seasons - fall, winter, spring and summer. Come on now - I don't cook by seasons. I cook what I'm hungry for. This layout is a little awkward, making it difficult to locate recipes. I wish it had been compiled along the lines of meats, main dishes, pasta, etc etc. In spite of this it's not a deal-changer for me and I am pleased with it.

GREAT recipes! I am in the process of working my way thru the book and have only found one recipe I did not particularly care for. Easy to follow instructions, not a lot of exotic ingredients that I can't find in a country town and not hours of prep work to get started. I am really enjoying this book.

I live in Texas and here in the summertime the crock pots come out and are used a lot. I love these cookbooks and I love using my crock pots because they don't heat the house up in the summertime and yet by evening you get a great meal to enjoy.

I am very disappointed, especially after waiting several days for this book to be delivered. I purchased this book “new” and it definitely wasn’t “new.” When I opened it, there was writing on a number of the recipes, anything from “try” to adding items to the ingredient list. I found this to be very annoying and although I haven’t had a chance to try the various recipes, which may indeed be very good, I am only giving this item 1 star - quality control was definitely missing.

I love my slow cooker, so really am enjoying choosing recipes from this book. Taste of Home recipes are always recipes that you can count on.

I've never been disappointed by a Taste of Home cookbook yet...and this one is no exception. I've been on the hunt for a decent slow cooker cookbook and this one is terrific! It's broken into the four seasons, with appetizers, side dishes, main courses, soups/sandwich fixings, and desserts for each season. There are recipes for all sizes of slow cookers, from 3 quart up to 6 quart, while some of the recipes are pretty simple (with only a few ingredients), while others require a bit more time and work. There are also a lot of full color, wonderful pictures.If I was going to give someone a slow cooker as a gift, this is the cookbook I'd include with it, hand's down!

I sent this as a gift to my granddaughter.She loves it.

NOT AS USED IN OUR HOME ITS PERFECT AS A BEGINNER BOOK AND TRUST ME YOU WILL NEVER FORGET THE MEALS MADE FROM HERE THEY REMAIN YOUR A LIST FOREVER ! YUMYUM :)

The pictures in the book are amazing, all the food looks very tasty. Next weekend we will start to cook.

Wonderful cookbook offering many slow cooker ideas. Very happy with the purchase of this cookbook!
