Tone Deaf Music Guitar Foot Stool (Metal)
**N
Bought to do self pedicures
A lot cheaper than the actual pedicure foot rests but does the job well. Keeps the foot flat instead of at a slight angle which isn't comfortable for long and would have thought sitting down playing the guitar you'd prefer your left foot at a slight angle

Sturdy and Compact
As a guitarist who performs seated and who has an aversion to wearing a guitar strap, I waged a constant battle to prevent my instrument sliding off my knee. Needless to say, a guitar that slides around on your knee is not conducive to a good performance. To compound the problem, my acoustic guitar happens to be an Ovation round back, a shape that could not be more suited to sliding towards the floor if it had been designed with that purpose in mind. I solved this problem at a stroke by investing a few pounds in a footrest, which is a standard piece of hardware used by classical guitar players. However, instead of placing the left foot on the rest (if you're right-handed) as is the customary practise, I place my right foot on the rest, which enables the right knee to support the guitar body under the upper bout just forward of its waist. The upper side of the guitar body is now tucked securely under your right armpit, which effectively clamps the guitar to your torso. If you remove both hands from the guitar you'll find that it will not move or attempt to slide away from you. As for this particular footrest, I can certainly recommend it. Underneath it are metal notches, similar to those on an ironing board, and which support the adjustable leg in a choice of five positions, depending on how high you require it. The legs fold when not in use, which means the footrest is only about 15mm thick when flat. Being metal, this footrest is fairly sturdy and should last for years. It's unlikely that the leg rivets will ever break, but if they do then I'll replace them with nuts and bolts. The only complaint I have is that the rubber feet on the ends of the legs could be a tighter fit for they easily come off. However, a spot of glue will solve this and prevent them getting lost.

Works Just Fine
Everything has been said - it works fine. Quite a flat foot stance and can be adjusted to go up to about 8" high - 4" being the lowest. It's a really nice simple design that's cheap enough for you to buy two, just in case you leave the first one at a venue or something. If it was heavier built it would be a pain to carry around - so IMHO it's just about right and looks set to last 10 years+.

Well designed & constructed.
After 30 years of using boxes, books and inverted shoes (yes it sort of works), a proper footstool is a luxury. I can't fault this model except to say that the foot plate angle is marginally acute for my liking, but I am only talking of about nit-picking 5 or 10 degrees.Perfectly usable and should last a lifetime.

It's a little stool
This is a small stool just big enough for one foot that folds away flat. The legs are made of metal and there are little rubber covers to cover the feet. These will need to be glued on if you need the covers to protect your floor. My son aged 9 uses it and likes it

Your route to good posture starts here
Extremely cheap for what is a good quality footrest that feels sturdy, is at a good angle, and has 4-5 different heights. Use under the left foot for the classical position or the right for casual, it works fine for both and keeps your strat-style guitar in place. Combine with a good stool and a guitar strap and you are set for long practice sessions. The sellers Tone Deaf Music were excellent, keeping you informed of dispatch via email, and the products (also ordered an A -Frame) arrived within 1 day, superb service.
