"MOUTH-WATERING RECIPES, NUTRITIONAL FACTS, SIMPLE DIRECTIONS, AND MORE!"
Derek Doepker delivers an incredible cookbook with delicious recipes, packed with information on the Paleo diet. I was amazed at how much this inspiring cookbook has to offer at a fantastic bargain price, great for the budget. The recipes are simple, and many of the recipes have common ingredients. In addition, the author offers easy-to-read directions, and helpful tips for this diet. Nutritional facts are included per recipe, which give the amount of calories, fat, carbs and protein. Some of the recipes include: Coconut Shrimp; Turkey Wrap; Coconut Chocolate Bananas; Fruit Salad; Trail Mix; Honey Mustard; Eggplant Dip; and more. Thus far, we made: The Coconut, Pineapple & Banana Smoothie; Ham & Pickles; Peppers With Eggplant Dip; Fresh Vegetable Salad; And the Fruit Salad. All were very tasty, and satisfying. The author also includes: Information on the Paleo Diet and motivation; fitness tips; information on vitamins; And highlights information on how to build up your immune system for several important reasons; Including healthy tips on fighting infections. What an amazing book! It just doesn't get any better than this. We are happy that we chose such an inspiring book to help lose weight, and be more healthy. I will be sharing this book with friends, and family. Highly recommended!

I like it
Recipes look fast, easy & tasty. I can't wait to try them.I gave this cookbook a 4 simply because some of the recipes look unusual and even though I'm not particularly picky, I don't know that I'm brave enough to try pineapple and bacon. I've always said bacon would be good with anything though...maybe if I skipped the chocolate (I think it's panache). There IS a really good tip on how to hardboiled eggs included with the "hard-boiled eggs and olives recipes."All in all, the book is probably deserving of a 5 star review - especially if you're a more adventurous eater. Try it. I think you'll like it.I think this book would be especially great for anyone who hasn't learned to cook yet, or just thinks they aren't a very good cook.

Pseudo-Paleo at Best. Should be titled "A few 5 Minute Paleo-Like Recipes for Busy People"
The recipes in this book, while generally useful and healthful, are mostly pseudo-paleo. There are many non-paleo ingredients such as chocolate, sweet pickles, cured ham, red wine vinegar (additives), Italian blend seasoning (additives), etc.Authors writing under the "paleo" banner in this manner are confusing people about actual paleo eating.Ever see a Neanderthal eating a Hershey bar or traveling with the chemistry set required to produce modern cured ham? I don't think so :)Want to know instantly whether something's paleo? If you could obtain it while standing naked in the wilderness while holding a sharp stick, it's paleo. Otherwise, it's not. That's not an opinion, it's a simple definition of the term.Plus, the book is short and sweet -- especially if you eat the sweet pickles. And it's hardly "The Ultimate Paleo Cookbook for Busy People."The author is a known expert in the field of internet marketing, and the book seems to be a perfect representation of that fact. Nice cover. Nice marketing. But a short book that, while useful, doesn't live up to what's promised by its title.

This book is different from others
As a healthcare practitioner and health fanatic for more than forty years, I live the paleo lifestyle. Being a hot topic you can find way too many books on the topic. This books is different in that in addition to recipes, the author also addresses motivation and other mindset information.I realize the paleo diet comes in many "flavors." I personally avoid sweeteners and keep my fruit intake low. The recipes here are heavy on the carbs - as far as healthy eating goes.

Impressed for what it is
Obviously just a short book with very simple recipes, however... I find several new ideas on some quick fixes. I'm the only one in the household doing Paleo which means I have to cook 2 dinners each night, one for me and one for my kids. I can't wait to give a few of these a go. Some of the recipes had extra bits of info that were useful.

I just finished my Whole30 and was looking for a paleo recipe book. 5 minutes caught my eye because I am very busy. I should have known however that anything that really only takes five minutes is going to be annoyingly simple to read about. Though I do want to try some of the dips when I get a food processor. Get this book to start (but also watch out for non-paleo ingredients in there....)

Processed foods used in cooking
I don't know much about the paleo diet, but I assumed it wouldn't have a lot of processed foods. Since I'm trying to avoid processed foods, I expected to find some recipes to try. I didn't, but people who cook with processed foods will probably have more success.

Great Selection of Recipes
I am not a great Paleo fan but love but appreciate the benefits of the diet. This recipe book provides a varied selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. The smoothies are brilliant and some combinations which I wouldn't of thought you could use in a smoothie, for example sweet potatoes!Nice selection and useful guide to Paleo diet for newbies and regular Paleoites.

Super quick
While there are times that I love spending hours cooking... There's also some occasions where I want to something really quick, but I still want to stick with a Paleo lifestyle. Well - this book helps with that beautifully...
